We both loved this place and a lovely walk to Charlestown was the icing on the cake, especially having some nice food and drinks and been able to walk back to the hotel and chill out in the spa

how the staff were and how they were so chilled out, relaxed, but also if you needed something or help, a staff member was there for you. Very well professionally dressed and set a good tone.

No air conditioning. Heating was left on high when arriving in the room. It was warm in April. Fan was too loud. Poor sleep because of no air conditioning

Location great stunning views! Atmosphere was content calm and walming. Staff are polite - ameneties available for adults and children really good always something to do. A few areas that let it down for me: Room wasn't the cleanest hair on bath mat and stains on carpet - for the star rating of hotel would expect a little more cleanliness. Mattress in room was not great. Spa facilities are medeoka size of the establishment would expect it to be much bigger the jacuzzi can only fit 4 people at the most and seating set up is not great again not enough seating. Can be loud when kids are around and its not normal esthetics of a relaxing spa. Value for money i would say is good how it is now however if improvements such as above are made then I would say brilliant value for money.

Heaven in Cornwall. From the moment we arrived at The Carlyon Bay Hotel, we were welcomed with warmth, professionalism, and a level of service that truly sets this hotel apart. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and enjoying morning coffee overlooking the coastline was a highlight of our stay. The rooms were beautifully presented—clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind. Every detail, from the quality of the bedding to the little finishing touches, reflected the hotel’s commitment to excellence. Dining was exceptional. The food was fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavour, with a menu that caters to a variety of tastes. The atmosphere in the restaurant was elegant yet relaxed, making every meal feel like a special occasion. The facilities are equally impressive. Whether you’re enjoying the spa, relaxing by the pool, or taking in the stunning surroundings on a coastal walk, there is something for everyone. The grounds are immaculate and add to the overall feeling of tranquillity. What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was the staff. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure we felt valued and cared for. Their attention to detail and genuine friendliness made all the difference. If you are looking for a luxurious, peaceful, and memorable getaway, The Carlyon Bay Hotel is an absolute gem. We will definitely be returning and cannot recommend it highly enough.

The staff were lovely and the food was amazing, it’s just all overpriced (especially the rooms) and the bedrooms are looking tired.

A great hotel to stay at for its location, food, service and friendly staff. If you want to walk some of the SW coast path, then the path is just 50 metres away

It was very warm inside but I kept the window open.

The attitude of the staff at this hotel should be applauded. They were very helpful from the front desk check in to the bar, the spa and restaurant staff. This added to a very enjoyable stay. The spa is modern and immaculate - with a relatively warm swimming pool. The food in the main restaurant was very good and service efficient. The rooms are comfortable and look modern.
