Paradise Koh Yao

Everything in the property was perfect. From checking in by Boom and Eddie everything was well organised and managed. Our rooms were ready before we arrived. Rooms very big and super comfortable. Oz and Faii at the restaurant took great care of our requirements for vegetarian food.

It was perfect.

The environment atmosphere is priceless! The location is so beautiful and remote. It was necessary for such a remote place to offer activities to do, so it was great to be able to play table tennis, SUP and darts. The lifeguard was very nice when I got stung by a jellyfish and took really good care of me!

The italian restaurant is somehow over priced and the food quality isn't good, to our opinion.

First of all, the location is absolutely spectacular. It's everything we wanted and hoped for a paradise trip. The staff has been very attentive and helpful and the service incredible. Another very important thing for us is the food. Paradise koh yao noi has really good food. The different locations of Thai restaurant, Italian restaurant, and of course the bar provided a very cozy atmosphere. Speaking of rooms, the staff gave us an upgrade to a deluxe suite with an incredible view which we enjoyed to the fullest. It's not cheap to stay here (although the prices for food are very reasonable) but it is differently worth it and good value for the money you pay. We will definitely consider coming back here. So relaxing and what a gorgeous view.

The setting of the hotel is undeniably beautiful, surrounded by nature and offering a very peaceful, slow-paced atmosphere. I also appreciated the eco-friendly concept of the resort, which is a nice idea in theory. The free yoga classes were a highlight and something I enjoyed, although the instructors did not seem particularly professional and the sessions were quite slow-paced. Breakfast was decent, with a reasonable selection, though nothing especially memorable. The resort also makes a conscious effort to support local staff, which is a positive aspect.

Unfortunately, the overall experience was a big disappointment. From the outset, the arrival process was poorly managed. We weren’t given a warm welcome at the pier, and the boat transfer was frustrating — delayed by around 30 minutes before departure, with the engine failing multiple times during the journey, which didn’t inspire much confidence, and with no apologies or discounted rate. On arrival, I had to wait a long time before being taken to my room, with very little communication from staff. Throughout the stay, I found the staff to be quite unfriendly and unhelpful when asking questions or requesting information. The room itself did not meet expectations for a 4-star hotel. There were cockroaches in my room, which was unacceptable. While I understand the eco concept, the accommodation felt more like a hostel than a resort. It was very open with little privacy — you could easily see inside when the lights were on, and even while showering, as the shower is outdoors. My room was right by a pathway and not well covered by foliage, which made this particularly uncomfortable. Small details also fell short — for example, the straws used in drinks gave everything an unpleasant taste, and the in-room coffee was poor quality (cheap sachets), which was disappointing for a hotel of this standard. The sunbeds around the property looked messy, worn out, and were not comfortable to use. There was also no service while using them — in most hotels, you would at least be offered water, which was noticeably lacking here. Overall, despite the beautiful surroundings and a few positives, the experience fell well below expectations. I wouldn’t stay here again.
