Paradise Koh Yao

This is one of the most unique resorts that I have ever had the pleasure to visit. It is very secluded on the quiet, unspoiled island of Koh Yao Noi. It is set in lush tropical foliage and has a soft sandy beach with calm, clear, green water which is lined with coconut trees. It is very special. I had tears in my eyes when leaving here. You go here to chill out, relax with your family or friends (or alone as I did!) and savour the solitude, quiet and tropical environment. There are very good excursions straight from the hotel beach; the hotel owns numerous fast boats to get you where you want to go and it is for hotel guests only (so no large crowds or queues). The area is set up to enable guests to switch off while being treated to lovely cocktails and delicious food. My room was 334 which was tucked away amongst banana plants, palm fans, and coconut trees. At dusk or early in the morning, sit on your balcony on your hanging swing and enjoy the melodies and chatter of local wildlife. The rooms are spacious and are set up for privacy with their black mirrored windows and screened, private outdoor showers. It's refreshing to be able to shower with the breeze to keep you cool. There is also a refreshing, deep blue, lagoon-like pool that overlooks the beach. The nighttime is super-chilled and you can enjoy a meal or drinks under the stars, close to the beach and its gentle breeze. Sometimes there was chilled entertainment such as a singer, dancers or the manager's bonfire and canapes. Loved this place and recommend it 1000%. The hotel has its own transfer speed boat from Phuket Yacht Haven Marina and I would advise guests to use this because the boat takes you straight to the shores of the hotel (no taxis through the rugged roads of the island to ensure). Yacht Haven Marina is very close to the airport and is convenient for those staying in the upper half of Phuket (I travelled from Surin beach to Yacht Haven in around 45 mins and the airport is much closer). The only thing that I would criticise here is that there is ongoing construction work which is taking place right at the back of the Paradise resort. They are building new tree houses here and the work looks like it will continue for some months. Now, this did not bother me too much because I felt like it was reasonably low level noise, but some guests were getting annoyed because work starts at around 9 am and continues to 530 pm. If you can stay at the front of the resort, it is far better. I had room 334 and the work was right at the back of my room. I see this in Thailand a lot now, even in high season, work is ongoing at many hotels. Always check with the hotels prior to booking. It is essential

really well organized and secluded resort. perfect for a romantic and relaxing holiday. food is great, good variety of western and thai choices. wonderful beach, great rooms immersed in the jungle.

the only missing bit is probably a small gym, that would be a a nice addition also considering it is not easy to practice activities such as running or cycling nearby.

Nous avons passé un super séjour malgré une arrivée difficile : la chambre ne correspondait pas vraiment à ce qui était présenté sur "booking" et l’accueil s’est fait dans un contexte de travaux, ce qui n’était pas très agréable. Cependant, nous tenons vraiment à souligner le professionnalisme et la gentillesse d’Eddy à la réception. Il a été à l’écoute, réactif et très impliqué pour améliorer nos vacances. Sans lui, notre séjour aurait été beaucoup plus compliqué. Merci à Eddy pour son aide et son excellent du service. L’hôtel dispose d’un embarcadère qui est un véritable atout. Nous vous recommandons vivement d’arriver par celui-ci plutôt que par la route, quitte à payer un tout petit peu plus cher : l’expérience et l’accueil sont bien meilleurs.

Das Personal hat immer die Teller und Gläser schon abgeräumt auch wenn der andere noch am essen war. Der Kaffe beim Frühstück wurde vergessen oder hat ewig gedauert. Im Bungalow keine Möglichkeit Badesachen und Tücher draussen aufzuhängen. Aber das ist jammern auf hochem Niveau

We stayed for 5 days at the paradise. Needed to recharge our batteries before moving on. This is fabulous resort. The location and rooms are stunning. The staff polite, happy and helpful. Yes the service is a little slow but what is your rush. Honestly!!! Take a chill pill relax and just soak it all in. Special mention to Eddy who has made our stay even more special.

Ein wunderbarer Strand, obwohl das Wasser nicht die Klarheit aufwies, die wir andernorts schon gesehen haben. Unser Hausteil eins Doppelhauses war ohne Meersicht, was uns nicht gestört hat, denn es war nachts ruhig. Vor dem Eindunkeln waren die Nashornvögel in den Bäumen rund ums Resort unterwegs und wir schauten ihren drolligen Spielen sehr gerne zu. Ausgezeichnete Massagen haben wir uns gegönnt und auf dem Weg dahin und zum Frühstück kamen wir an einem Teich vorbei, der voller Nachtblüher war. Das Frühstücksbuffet war hervorragend, die zwei Restaurants (Thai und Italienisch) ergänzen sich sehr gut, sie wechseln sich gegenseitig ab mit speziellen Abenden, an denen sie die Gäste mal anders als gewohnt verköstigen konnten. Inbegriffen war ein Gratisausflug auf eine Insel in der Nähe, die allerdings voller Touristen aus aller Herren Resorts war. Das Schönste dabei war die Fahrt. Auf der Rückfahrt liefen wir eine Insel an, die von einer Affenkolonie bewohnt war: Jungtiere, die nach Fischen tauchten und auch nach Futter, das unsere Mitfahrenden reinwarfen. Ältere Affen beobachteten die Szenerie in stoischer Ruhe, sodass man sich ein bisschen schämte für die aufgeregten Mittouristen. Ein anderes Highlight war ein unglaubliches Gewitter, das von gewaltigen Blitzen und krachendem Donner begleitet war.

Da es keine Möglichkeit gab, das Resort zu Fuss auf eigene Faust zu verlassen, fühlte man sich etwas eingesperrt und isoliert.

We loved our stay at Paradise. The beach and resort are just incredible and there is ample spots to relax, making sure it never feels busy or crowded. The pool was beautiful and refreshing too. We really enjoyed the restaurants in the resort, all our meals were delicious and the service was wonderful. Loved the huge variety in the menus too and happy hour in the bar in the evenings. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large with everything you needed, awesome views and large balconies. We loved watching the many hornbills around the property. Great services provided by the resort like the boat trip to a nearby island and kayak hire. 3 nights was a perfect amount to stay here and feel deeply relaxed.
