I have stayed at Hollywood Casino at Greektown 2-3 times a year for years, and this is normally the only hotel I choose when visiting Detroit. Unfortunately, this recent stay (checked in Friday, checked out today) was unlike any experience I’ve had before. I arrived at 7 PM and was told there were no clean rooms available. I put my name on a waiting list and didn’t receive a call that my room was ready until 10:47 PM. I was initially offered a $50 beverage credit for the inconvenience, which I felt was not enough, and was then offered $100 off the night—something I accepted, assuming the room would at least be cleaned. When we got to the room, it was clear it had not been cleaned: hair from a beard in the bathroom, sticky floors, and trash still in the garbage. I requested housekeeping, but no one ever came—not that night, and not the next day. At noon the next day, I went to the front desk and spoke with a manager who assured me the room would be cleaned while I was out. When I returned at 6 PM, nothing had been done. I asked again and was offered either a downgrade to a smaller room or to wait for cleaning. Even after that, the room was never cleaned. Some of the staff were helpful—particularly the young woman with the ponytail at the front desk, who was wonderful. But overall, management failed to handle this situation appropriately, and the hotel itself felt dirty and poorly managed during this stay. I truly hope management takes steps to improve their operations

The check in service was horrible. The manager was extremely unprofessional. One person working the desk with a long line waiting for service with 2 other employees who were there and could have assisted.

Our room and the hotel in general was very clean. Staff was very friendly. But our room was less than great. The refrigerator door would not stay shut we didn’t notice until over 24 hours so we had to throw out food and beers. We had no housekeeping at all - stayed 2 nights. So coffee cups, glasses and coffee was never refilled. The handle to the shower door was basically falling off so we didn’t dare close it tight. Little things but for the price we paid we expected better.

In walking distance of a lot of reasturant

Had everything you need on site. Short 15 min walk to either Ford Field or Comerica Park. Only issue was we had to request new towels, room not cleaned or towels replaced.

Friendly staff and rooms were clean. Had a great view of Comerica Park from our room. Lots of optiona for dining as well!
