Western Slope Suites

No tv, grounds trash and pet poop, no bags to clean up poop, shady people hanging out in the parking lot, ac shut off middle night with 90 degree weather. 28.00 for a pet fee plus 144 a night??

Very basic, no frills.

I was greeted with a friendly front staff. We had a clean room and lobby. Books to read for free and movies to rent for free!

The cons: Trash cans over flowing in and around the motel, which made it smell badly. The TVs did not work in the suite. The cleanliness of the room was mediocre at best. The pros: The check in process was quick. It was convenient having a working kitchenette with a full size refrigerator.

Check in was fine. 100 dollar deposit for a one night stay is pretty steep. Elevator has sign warning of two passengers only. Got in elevator to go to third floor. When we got to the floor the elevator made a terrible grinding noise like it was about to fail. If the elevator is out of order- say it. That was scary. Got into room. Someone had left a razor in bath tub, and complimentary conditioner was empty. Room was not cleaned very well. Definitely would not recommend this place for the price.

They're not having a handyman check the rooms. Handles come off in your hands, etc.

Satellite tv didn't work and when I went to pick up the phone in the room to contact the front desk there was no chord on the phone! Bed sheets were clean but worn out. The soap in the dispensers (body wash & shampoo) ran out right away - enough for one person to shower. Immediate smell when getting off the elevator (which barely worked) was the smell of pot coming from another guest's room - fortunately you couldn't smell in our room.

This is a good hotel with good amenities, at good rates. I recommend it!

The staff at the front desk were incredibly rude and unhelpful! I was treated as if I was an inconvenience for checking in or out or when requesting linens. The rooms were not cleaned daily and I had to request towels everyday. The elevator did not work properly and could only accommodate two individuals at once (not including luggage). There are many individuals living in the hotel and trash was piled up at the end of the hallways on every floor. The hotel allows pets, which is fine but we listened to a dog cry all night because it had been locked in the bathroom next door. Ultimately, I would NEVER stay at this property again because I felt unsafe during my entire stay. There were several homeless individuals who had set up ‘home’ with chairs and tables in the hotel parking lot. I would not recommend leaving your room in the evenings or accessing the parking lot. I would highly recommend staying in Rifle if possible to avoid these issues in the future.
