The hotel was incredibly loud, with the pool open until 11pm we could hear people playing music and being loud until 11pm at the pool. Would not stay again.

We ate supper and breakfast here. Food was excellent. Portions were huge...probably could have shared! Very quiet and clean. Our room faced the lake. Reminded me of being on our cruise! Definitely will go back if im in the area.

"JOE at the Holiday Inn made our trip a 5"

Lots, of lodging to choose from in the Detroit Lakes area, but after calling the Holiday Inn on the lake and speaking with Joe at the front desk, he convinced me to check it out. The staff was great and Joe picked out a great lakeside room for us ahead of our arrival. It was great to meet Joe our second day there as well. Joe went out of his way to say hi to us when we walked through the lobby and asked if he could be of any help. He suggested places for us to visit as well as some of the area highlights. Saved us lots of time using his recommendation. 5 stars for Joe at the Holiday Inn. We are already planning to return this fall with some friends for a few days. In addition we found our hotel experience top notch. Very clean, the beach was well groomed, the pool area well kept, and Robin at the restaurant was a breath of fresh air, checking on us often during our meals.
