"Interesting place"

6.0

We booked this place just needing where to spend the night. It's small and lacks of many amenities that any traveler can expect such as swimming pool. The location is convenient as you are a few blocks away from the historical part if Downtown and with that cone restaurants and places to eat, that the hotel also lack of. Overall it was an Ok place to rest but just that.

"Charming, if slightly quirky"

8.0

Although I respect any efforts Mexicans make to reduce their use of plastic bottles, it would have been nice for the hotel to make drinking water more accessible. The staff were pleasant and helpful. This inn is quaint and cute, but certain decorative touches were more confusing than practical. The courtyard is lovely, and very pleasant for sitting in while using Wi-Fi. The beds were hard, but that is the norm in Mexico. We spent two separate nights there, when visiting my brother in Queretaro. One of the rooms had a ventilation problem: it became very stuffy with the bathroom windows closed, but passersby in the courtyard could look right into the bathroom when the windows were open. This wasn't a huge issue for us, because there were no other visitors when we were there. The Mansion also operates spa services, but we did not avail ourselves of them. The immediate block is slightly shabby, but it is a short walk from some of Queretaro's loveliest plazas in the "Centro Historico." The Convent, a major landmark, is right around the corner. We had fresh fruit in the second room, which was a very nice touch. Guests are free to help themselves to anything in the kitchen, but this had not been made clear to us when we arrived. That might simply have been on account of our weak command of Spanish. There were huge jugs of potable water in the kitchen, with an unmarked pitcher on the counter, presumably containing decanted drinking water.

"A very relaxing and enjoyable stay!"

10.0

We have never been to Querétaro, but have been all over México. We enjoy staying in small, boutique hotels that cater to Mexican tourists as well as international and/or young travelers. We found this hotel online, and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed! The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Our room, while not luxurious, was very comfortable, large, and well maintained throughout our stay. It had a ceiling fan, large flat screen TV, wi-fi, and a good assortment of toiletries. Fresh water and clean glasses were provided daily. The daily breakfast of toast, fresh fruit, fresh orange juice, and coffee was very satisfying. The communal kitchen in the center of the property made having a small, light evening meal a pleasure. This hotel is within walking distance to many good restaurants and points of interest in the centro histórico. We talked with several of the Mexican tourists staying there who said that the service given to them when asking for tours, directions, and pointers on what to do i Querétaro were all excellent. I would agree! On our final day, we needed to be awakened at 4AM, and have a taxi ready by 4:30 AM for an early morning flight. The staff complied and saw us off, which we thought was very friendly.

"Great location in Querétaro!"

10.0

We had never been to Querétaro, so located this property based on its proximity to many of the sights and its very reasonable price. The hotel is an older property in the Centro Histórico. Most major sites are within a 10-20 minute walk from the hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted by Verónica, and were given our choice of rooms since occupancy was low. (It got busier as the weekend arrived, so not everyone would have this option) We were shown the common kitchen in the central courtyard / patio area, and were assured there would be freshly brewed coffee and hot water around the clock if we liked either. A light continental breakfast of fresh orange juice, fresh fruit, toast, and coffee would be served between 9-11 AM every morning. And, we were encouraged to use the fully stocked kitchen for making our own meals, reheating leftovers, or enjoying our own snacks whenever we wanted. Our room was cleaned daily by Angeles (Angie) and she did an excellent job. We were supplied with fresh towels, toiletries, and a pitcher of purified water and clean glasses every day. It was so pleasant to arrive to our clean room after tours and/or long walks around the city. I would recommend this property to any tourist who loves Mexico and is looking for a well-priced, friendly place to stay while visiting Querétaro. And I would stay here again and again and again!

"Lovely Place"

10.0

It was a very pleasant stay...The hotel is a typical Queretaro home "Casa Mejicana". The staff was amazing...Veronica was a very good host...Angie was also excellent. They make you feel very comfortable. The rooms are modest but it is all you need.

"Great location, good value, but some discomfort"

10.0

The location of the hotel could not be better, especially for the price. Much thought has been put into the decor and into making guests feel as comfortable as possible. A bonus is getting a copy of the legend of the Burro Azul (blue donkey); however, some folks might appreciate its being written in English. I do have a couple complaints about the room. We were in room 7, which was quiet, but the overhead fan did little to cool off the room. We were there in mid-April, and the heat of spring had already begun in Querétaro. Also, the heavy comforter would be great in the winter. I hated putting it on the floor at night.
