"great location"

the rooms are small but clean, we enjoy the facilities of the kitchen, with free coffee and drinking water, all the staff are so friendly, the location is the best of this hotel with walking distance to town and all the restaurants.

"Nice enough for the price"

6.0

I had a nice experience for the most part. The owners are very friendly. The breakfast of fruit, juice & toast was nice. I wish, since I specifically asked for a quiet room so that I could sleep in, they had not put a couple with an infant next to me. There were plenty of empty rooms available. It would have been nice if they would have taken that into consideration, the walls are a bit thin.

"Great location, Excellent Staff, Nice Rooms"

10.0

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is a short walk to the main plazas and is in a very safe neighborhood. The hotel offers breakfast for a fee, there is also a pretty good panaderia one block up from the hotel. Wifi worked well throughout. The front desk staff was very helpful. Marco, one of the personnel helped arrange a tour to the mountains to see the Monarch butterflies and did an excellent job putting it together. He also made a list of all kinds of different places to visit in and around Queretaro. Marco was definitely a great resource. The rooms were nicely decorated and had a Mexican feel to them. There was also a nice patio for relaxing.

"YOUTH HOSTEL! "

4.0

Terrible place, more of a youth hostel than a hotel. Definitely not three star. Communal kitchen. My room was a monk's cell. No windows. A bed that required walking sideways to get in. An armoir that was 1 1/2' x 2' with 3 wire hangers. No windows. No light. A door that went out to an interior courtyard, made to look so welcoming in their photos. I had booked 9 nights. Upon arriving, they charged me for the 9 nights, without my even seeing the room. Checked out the next morning, one night. The person in charge did not know how to issue a credit. I called the hotel the following morning and was told it was Expedia's problem. I called Expedia. They said it was Burro Azul. They called Burro Azul and Burro Azul told Expedia they didn't have any money. I have begun a billing dispute with Burro Azul, expecting a credit for the eight nights I didn't stay there. I wrote them two emails. Neither of which were answered.

"Cute....the little details"

8.0

Not exactly a mansion but it was very cute and cozy. The owners seem to have put a lot of effort into making this place very nice and comforting. I stayed in Room 10 which was in the rear of the courtyard. It was relatively quiet. The room had two double beds and was quite simple. They provided us a fan to cool the room down and it worked just fine. The bathroom had an interesting, very Mexican, feel to it. This place is not elegant yet but they are trying. The staff was very accommodating, helpful and always smiling. The hotel is located close to everything but not so close to all the heavy traffic. We enjoyed our stay here. Before we left they insisted that they wash our hands with rose water to wish us health and peace on our journey...little detail but it gives you an idea of this place of little details.
