Hotel & Spa La Mansión del Burro Azul

We'd stayed here for a couple of weeks a few years ago and liked it, so we booked it for a couple of months this time as emergency accommodation while our house was being renovated. The place itself is quite nice. In a convenient part of town, it's clean and interesting inside. But this time, the first week of the booking, I was kept awake until 5am by some rude, stoned guests who thought it was ok to be wandering around the shared patio area, kitchen, etc, talking loudly, smoking spliffs and generally making a nuisance of themselves. If there were night staff in attendance, they never showed themselves or told these guests to put a lid on it, and a call and messages to the WhatsApp number on the room door went unanswered until after the noise had subsided. I approached them myself at one point to tone it down but was ignored. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there with my interaction with the host, who was not on-premises, becoming unpleasant. In the end the host changed their story about whether the hotel was, in fact, a hotel, whether I could cancel for a refund and fabricated stories about me which I still can’t fathom. (Eg, that I was staying there because I couldn’t work because of the noise my kid was making, and that I had threatened the noisy guests with a gun!) Unbelievable. She even said I’d complained about noise the first night even though I never stayed there until the third night of the booking! I had to get Airbnb involved to cancel the remainder of our booking (which itself wasn’t a fun experience). I don’t like leaving negative reviews but I would say that provided you don’t have any problems, this is a good option for a short stay in Querètaro*. But if you do have any problems, beware of the host! * Personally, as a foreigner, I’d rather not have to deal with exposure to illicit drugs.

The only thing I didn’t like was the room had no windows, therefore it was very warm. Luckily there was a ceiling fan to circulate the air.

Good place to just relax, no noise. Everyone was very kind and checks on you for whatever you need. Kitchen staff also very amiable and super efficient. The rooms are large and cable looks clear. Water is warm and its very nicely located for turism in the center of the city.

Un hotel bonito, agradable pero un gran punto en contra es que no tiene estacionamiento y la pensión que ellos te recomiendan cuesta $100 or cada 12 horas.

Arriving from the outside I started to worry and said oh no but going through the door and seeing my name on the notice board things went swimmingly after that. The hotel is lovely and the staff are great and informative. I would stay again!!!

Aside from the attractive and comfortable rooms, the inner court with a complete kitchen made our stay most enjoyable. There's no bar, but if you bring tequila, you can make your own margaritas. Enjoy the unique ambiance of this fine hotel.

I consider my staying at Moss Hotel & Spa very enjoyable. The location was amazing, the staff were very cordial and the Continental Breakfast was considerably tasteful. It was a short, but comforting experience!

Es un hotel muy lindo y confortable, el personal es muy amable y tiene un pequeño desayuno. La ubicación es algo céntrica.

Rooms are small.Water for shower has no pressure. No Parking .Be careful , police takes your plates

Great location, very close (walking distance) to historical center, bars and restaurants, a parking lot would've been great, I had to park 3 blocks away. Staff was friendly, rooms were really nice, pretty and clean, although really hot! Only ceiling fans are available in the rooms, we had warm days on our visit to Queretaro so the rooms were very, VERY hot. And last, but not least, the king mattress was extremely hard/firm, very uncomfortable.
