One&Only Cape Town

OMG - the service is outstanding and the warmth of the team is fantastic. we were asked to leave our accommodation at the V & A Waterside, and the One &Only stepped in and accommodated us. MUCH appreciated and would make us return. a shout out for all the team but today Tumello sorted a money issue I had. rooms beautiful. Breakfast beautiful. BEST OD ALL THE TEAM

Another phenomenal stay at this hotel. We were there for 8 nights and it has become like a 2nd home. The facilities, room, food is excellent but what sets it apart is the quality of its staff and their friendliness. They welcome you each year and are genuinely happy to see you. Anne - General Manager and clearly runs a superb hotel Pool area - Melissa runs the show with competence and warmth ably assisted by Sive, Zoe, Sasindi and many others. Nothing is too big or small and they are brilliant with the kids tol. Breakfast- Rafeeka looked after us during our stay and was superb! All of the team are excellent and hats off to the management here. Front of House - Charles and David and the whole team are both great fun and good at their jobs! Spa - Portia was an excellent at coordinating and NTombi was great too. A truly special place

Well the name says it all, fantastic location looking directly at Table mountain, staff, food and drinks excellent, outdoor facilities including the pool brilliant, but one thing which was above and beyond,was unfortunately my wife wasn't to well and one night and we requested a visit by a doctor via reception this was around 10pm and by 10.30pm a doctor was in our room and organising a prescription which was all delivered by 12. Wife recovered very quickly so unbelievable service. Thank you all.

We have just left the One & Only after a 5 Nights night stay, from when we was pulled up at the Entrance and was met and shown in by the Excellent Charlie it was an insight of how good this Hotel was going to be. I just can’t fault it in any way, the staff are just Exceptional. Everyone of them so lovely and humble. The Hotel is just Stunning and has the most amazing Back Drop of Table Mountain behind. It has a beautiful Pool Area which many Hotels in the Water front don’t have.. It’s a 5 Star of the highest quality. Its A Must book if you on Cape Town and want a bit of quality. It’s right on top of the Water Front and very very safe which is a must. Cheers Room 216

Wow wow wow what an afternoon - the best afternoon tea ever - the food - the view of Table Mountain and could not have been looked after better by the fab Ashley who spoilt us rotten - thank you so much Ashley from your wine knowledge to just being so lovely - you made our last day in Cape Town a memorable one

After a long journey from New York we could not have been received more warmly and graciously. The hotel is beautiful, elegant, sophisticated and a pleasure to stay at. The staff is exceptional in all ways. We were almost always greeted with our names. Breakfast was not only delicious, but a visual feast.. We had a lovely dinner at the Rooi which was delicious. We can’t say enough positive things about this hotel and hope someday to get back!

Hotel staff I couln't fault - the staff were amazing, beautiful room, they really treated us well with some delicious deserts and chocolates waiting in our room and a bottle of champagne as it was our anniversary! 10/10

My husband and I got really bad Salmonella poisoning from Nobu on our first night. Be careful.

The hotel arranged a transfer vehicle from the airport to the hotel under its responsibility. Upon arrival at the hotel entrance, the driver hastily attempted to close the trunk after unloading our luggage. At that moment, the trunk lid struck my wife’s head forcefully, causing bleeding and swelling. Shocked by the incident, we immediately entered the hotel and requested a first aid kit. Our daughter was also present and was negatively affected by the situation. Approximately 20–25 minutes later, a staff member slowly arrived with a first aid kit. There was no medical professional at the hotel, which we find unacceptable for a property of this level. Since we had no first aid knowledge, we tried to stop the bleeding by applying ice. The swelling continued, and we received little attention from the hotel staff. No doctor was called, and we were left to manage the situation on our own, despite being 11 hours away from our home country. Throughout this process, no senior hotel representative came to speak with us. Instead, this hotel contacted us only 24 hours later to prepare a report, seemingly to avoid responsibility. Two days after the incident, a hotel staff brought a cream to our room but later charged us for it. While traveling abroad, one of the greatest fears is facing a health problem, and in such cases, guests naturally expect assistance from the hotel. Not only was no help provided, but we were also charged for the cream. Cape Town is a beautiful city, yet as a family we could not overcome the shock of this incident. The hotel management demonstrated extremely poor crisis handling—indeed, there was no process management at all. We had chosen one of the most expensive hotels in Cape Town, expecting high standards of service. Instead, we experienced negligence, lack of responsibility, and unacceptable treatment. We believe this incident should be formally reviewed, as the hotel failed to meet even the basic expectations of guest safety and care.
