Pelekas Monastery

Lovely spot by a beautiful beach. Lift from main areas to pool area, steps down to beach beyond, but can be accessed by the road down. We were on All Inclusive, all are local drinks / "pretend Coke etc;-). Orange juice not freshly squeezed. You could buy "the real stuff "! Also,food only available at main restaurant for AI, food anywhere else had to be purchased. We cruise, and they offer AI or premium AI - costs a bit more, but you can get "the real drinks ". Maybe this could be offered, and also include a lunch at the pool bar( even if it costs a bit more). Air con could be better in the room, we didn't seem to be able to adjust it. Our room was large ( junior suite), with large balcony, but no shade for the day. Additional shade for near pool /seating area would be good - few large shrubs/ trees in pots maybe! Hotel provided free shuttle to top of the hill(it's a steep one!) to coincide with local bus times into Corfu which was excellent. About 30 minutes to Corfu,. 5 euros each for an all day ticket, fantastic value. You can walk to Pelekas Village from the bus stop. 10 minutes or so, few bars, small supermarket, couple of shops etc. Overall we have had a lovely stay here, felt linger than a week. Few small improvements could be made. As with many AI, food ok, but could be improved on- not just us, spoke to others who said the same). If you want somewhere to chill, and are not planning on doing much, it's ideal.

Rooms need some TLC. Odd layout of the site, complexed walk paths to restaurant and down to pool. Pool bar staff abrubt.

Nice and simple hotel. Good beach. Funicular to go down/up. Good food and staff.

Stunning view ! Stuff is amazing and very helpful. The main issue is hotel condition. Definitely needs renovation because rooms and bathrooms are not 5* standard.

Very nice and comfortable hotel. Our room was not as cozy and was along the parking. There wasn’t any view outside the window and was bit dark compared to other rooms of upper floor Food and facilities were very good though And private beach with swimming pool, which was not heated It’s been but far from other main attractions but they got few buses running to take you to nearby city/ town

Great buffet, great location and the staff was amazing.

The property is beautiful and the staff is wonderful, we had a wonderful time. We were surprised about the journey to the hotel - they offer transportation (for a fee) but we had a rental car and the drive to the hotel is very windy, mostly downhil and has many blind curves which we were unaware of. We were concerned about getting back up hill with luggage but it worked. There are two ways to get to Pelekas, the shorted is easier and less stressful, than the 4 minute longer journey. pray you don't encounter cars in the opposite direction. The property offers parking but availabilty is limited. We also didn't realize they offer all inclusive - we received breakfast AND dinner which was a nice surprise and the offering is extensive and tasty, offering something for everyone. The rooms offered beautiful views but were dated. The AC took time to kick in recommend leaving the key in as it doesn't work well if it is turned off and back on. Furniture; couches and beds were not very comfortable and although bathrooms are roomy, the shower is high to climb into if you're older and allows water to spill into the bath if you're not careful. As I said, we had a lovely time, were sad to leave, but it wasn't a 5 out of 5 for us. More information on reaching the property and amenities would be great.

Hotel is very tired

The private beach was beautiful and a great spot for snorkeling. Staff were polite, friendly and their English made the whole holiday easier and more relaxing. The sunset views were impeccable and our family will be returning next year
