Can’t even give this place a 1 star. Pathetic excuse of a human being working at the front desk. Refused to rent me a room because I’m black. Was with my children. Mentioned that Trump doesn’t allow blacks in the US ( hotel is in Regina, SK Canada) and he doesn’t allow blacks in the hotel because we are animals. Pointed his finger in my face and almost poked me in the eye. Complained to me about immigrants even though he was an immigrant from South Asia. Should be called Discrimination Dungeon instead of Thriftlodge

Do everything in your power to never stay here!!! Staff were IMMEDIATELY confrontational and rude before I even said a word. The man working the desk (which isnt even in a lobby, you have to ring a buzzer outside to get him to open a sliding window) continuously questioned the validity of my card despite the fact it was the same one I booked the room with. Spent nearly 10 minutes going over my drivers license. Asked unnecessary questions about my personal life, seemingly trying to figure out if im some sort of criminal? Didnt even get the room i booked. The one he gave me, nothing worked. Shower didnt work, TV didnt work, Air conditioning didnt work. Never, ever stay here!!!

Rude property manager. Place is infested with bed bugs. Expedia and property manager refused a refund.

The manager or person who works the front desk is absolutely terrible! Was staying there with family as we were looking for a house to move in we had two rooms and obviously with younger siblings they are gonna be energetic or go outside the manager literally called us and told us to stop getting food from the room that our parents were in and taking it back to our room we said okay we’ll stop doing that so often, then called us to complain about our younger sibling going outside on the balcony for fresh air,told him about a problem in one of the rooms bathroom and he said that we had broken it and that he would break one of my younger brothers arm cause we “had supposedly broke the sink” (the sink was broken from the first day we checked in and got the rooms) that dude was watching our every move through his cameras (because he has a huge screen with all cameras on it and sits in front of it all day in his chair)
