W Maldives

From May 15th to May 20th, My husband and I went to W Maldives to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary. We booked Superior Overall Water Villa facing lagoon. The beautiful Tiffany blue colour of the lagoon is the most amazing sea I have ever seen! Also W’s excellent service impressed us deeply. Our butler or more accurately our whatever/whenever agent Aiham and Ameen provided excellent services to us.👍❤️Once we checked in, Aiham created a group in WhatsApp. Whatever we needed,we just sent message through WhatsApp and they replied immediately every time. Furthermore, at the night of our anniversary, they and their colleagues decorated our bed beautifully, played drums, sang and danced to celebrate our anniversary. We are really so touched and happy! What a wonderful anniversary! We will remember forever!Thanks Aiham and Ameen for this amazing arrangement! The food in all restaurants is delicious! And the services of all W colleagues are excellent. Their smiles are warm and sincere. Everyone remembered our names and our 31st anniversary! At the anniversary night, the chef specially wrote “happy Anniversary ❤️” on the plate of the desert. We are really moved🫶🌹 W has the best house reef so it is very convenient for us to go snorkelling. Just at the hotel, we can easily see the wonderful sea world, such as coral, baby shark,sea turtle, manta ray and many beautiful fishes! W’s amazing view, very convenient snorkelling, delicious food and most importantly the excellent services focusing on every detail really impress us deeply! It is definitely the best hotel we have ever stayed! Thanks W, giving us an unforgettable anniversary celebration! You definitely deserve top rating!💯👍 Really hope to see you again in the future💕🌹

Our first trip to the Maldives was also our honeymoon, and we truly enjoyed our stay at W Maldives. We spent 4 amazing days here, and everything was beautiful and memorable. A very big thank you to Ameen for personally assisting us with so many things during our stay. He was extremely kind, helpful, and made our experience even more special. When we arrived, Ameen and a lovely lady from the team gave us an island tour and explained everything very well. Even though we were still a little confused at first, we enjoyed exploring the island by walking around and discovering everything ourselves. A special thanks as well to Chef Sreejith, Chef Anil, and the entire kitchen team for making our dinners so special. As vegetarians, we really appreciated the customized food prepared for us with so much care and effort. They spent time understanding our preferences and made every meal delicious and memorable. We also met Staney (not sure if the spelling is correct) from the Food & Beverage team, and the service was very good and friendly. The housekeeping team was also excellent throughout our stay. We really enjoyed the SIP Sunset Bar — the sunset views and atmosphere were amazing. The spa experience was always excellent and very relaxing. The floating breakfast was another beautiful and memorable experience during our honeymoon. Even though the weather was rainy during the last two days, we still enjoyed every moment of our stay. The resort is small, cute, peaceful, and perfect for couples. A special mention to the buggy drivers as well — they were always quick, friendly, and ready to help. Many times they came to pick us up even before we requested a buggy, which showed great hospitality and care. Our overwater villa was amazing, the hospitality was excellent, and the kitchen experience was one of the best parts of our trip because of Chef Sreejith. I had an amazing experience at W Maldives and honestly it was one of the best trips I’ve ever had. From the moment we landed at the airport until the day we left everything was smooth and perfectly organized. The team took care of us from arrival to departure and made the whole experience feel easy and stress free. We stayed in both the beach villa and the overwater villa and both were incredible. The beach villa was very relaxing with direct access to the sand and a lot of privacy. The overwater villa was something else completely, waking up to the ocean and stepping straight into the water is an experience I won’t forget. The activities at the resort were great and added a lot of fun to our stay. There are plenty of options whether you want to relax or do something more active. What really made this trip special was the staff. Everyone was friendly, helpful and genuinely caring. You can tell they really want you to have a great time. Also a big thank you to the all staff for kindness and attention to guests, it really makes a difference. This was my first time in the Maldives and it was unforgettable thanks to this amazing team. I would definitely come back again.

I rarely give 5 stars because I dont think everyone deserves it. . Every now and then a property shines like a diamond and rightfully deserves it, The W Maldives has truly earned top marks. The property is newly renovated but that’s not the reason they get 5 stars. Ive been to many luxury properties in the world where you walk in and are WOWED by what you see but as you stay longer, the physical beauty around you diminish as the overall experience doesn’t match. Im also not going to talk about the natural beauty of this Island, there is a reason it was voted number 1 house reef, Most picturesque resort etc etc. All that is TRUE no fake news No photoshopping. Lets talk about what really sets W above the competition. From the moment you get picked up from MLE airport by the staff (Cindy and Abdullah) where they whisk you away to the private lounge waiting for your transfer to the very end of the journey where Abdullah pulled extra strings in the lounge and in the airport to make sure we experience a worry and hassle free departure it was truly a remarkable experience from start to finish. I think its important to mention names because although the service is outstanding in general there really are a few people that provide special touches that catapulted this property to next level. I have been to the Maldives 6 times and 4 times at the W because the people there make the difference. It always felt like being with friends and family, it felt like home. I realize that in all the aspects of my stay in this property, there have always been a memorable experience because I connected with someone who made it happen, I call these “MY PEEPS” Let’s start with pre-arrival. I have been communicating with Bianca from reservation via email for months. She and Her team responds quickly, clearly and efficiently. Bianca’s patience and flexibility as we navigate changes for months was remarkable. Upon arrival Aiham gave us a warm welcome since it’s my partners first time, and off to our room 215 which was absolutely WOW. Aiham and Hadhy are my front office PEEPS. Jumbe is the guy who takes care of our room twice a day. I have never met anyone who takes so much pride in his work and does it with a huge smile every day. I am a clean freak and very meticulous in how my room is kept and Jumbe gets the gold star. We rarely stay in the room, we pretty much stay in the common beach from sunrise to sunset (Literally). Mark and his team makes sure that our beds are ready and our ice cold drink is served every time. Special shout out to Kamal who really made our beach experience enjoyable…Christian, maybe its time to convert Kamal from temp to regular😊 I really enjoyed Arti’s yoga classes. It was very relatable and effective for all skill levels. Mark is their manager and he also checks to make sure we are taken care of, and we were. But what really was the insurmountable task is our food requirements. We have a strict diet of no refined sugar, no seed oils, no msg, no processed food, etc . This is where the rubber meets the road. Not even the 4 seasons catered to all our needs but the W stepped in a big way. They listened, collaborated and delivered every single day. The breakfast is already top notch but they gave us what we requested and how it should be prepared. This is a gigantic feat and even if the other aspects of this resort were mediocre which they are not, I would still have given them 5 stars for passing this rigid service test. This wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for the dream team… Siska, Ara, Sunny, Chef Wasanta and Chef Bhakka and my Thai Girl – Dream. They were not just serving food to satisfy our health and gastronomy they were engaging us with stories, laughter and so much more No wonder we spend almost 2 hours every day at Kitchen. All my PEEPS were outstanding but the MVP award goes to Honda (ALI). Year after year he has proven to be the leader of this team. I even mentioned to Shane and Kamlesh that they need a training program and call it HOW TO BE HONDA. When someone does their job well they meet expectations but when someone anticipates your needs and delivers it consistently then they far exceeds expectations that’s Honda. Year after year his service excellence is exemplary. This is not so much a review but more a letter of thanks and gratitude to these people who have made our vacation extra special. These frontliners are the real heroes of this resort and the greatest complement in the service industry other than a tip is the acknowledgement of a job well done. Take a well-deserved bow W Maldives, I hope you will never be complacent and will continue to strive for excellence. Till we meet again!

Our stay in the Maldives was truly unforgettable. We visited as a group and had such a great experience from start to finish. The resort has a calm and beautiful atmosphere, making every moment feel relaxing and enjoyable. There was a great variety of food, and everything we tried was fresh and delicious. Dining here was always something to look forward to, especially at Kitchen restaurant where we had a wonderful time. The underwater experience was one of the best parts of the trip. Snorkeling in the clear water and seeing the marine life was incredible. We also spent time at the pool and wet bar, which were perfect places to enjoy the day and unwind. At night, the island becomes even more charming. Walking around with all the lights around the pathways created such a lovely and peaceful feeling. A huge thank you to Ameen from the Front Desk for his outstanding hospitality. He was always there to assist us, arranged buggy rides whenever needed, helped organize our activities, and kindly took photos for our group. He added a personal touch to our holiday and made us feel very well looked after. Watching the sunset at Sip Sip was another highlight of the stay — absolutely stunning and something we will always remember. This resort offers the perfect mix of comfort, beauty, and warm service. We left with amazing memories and would happily return again.

Our stay at W Maldives was nothing short of exceptional. We stayed in a two-bedroom overwater lagoon villa, and from the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless, luxurious, and genuinely memorable. The villa itself was incredible—spacious, beautifully designed, and with an amazing deck and living area that we made full use of. It was also impeccably serviced, with daily minibar replenishment (non-alcoholic drinks), and we loved discovering the little “sweet spots” around the island where you could grab extra drinks on the go—such a thoughtful touch that really enhances the experience and isn’t often talked about. The food was honestly the best we’ve had on any island. Every meal was a highlight, and what stood out most was how accommodating the team was. Two members of our group are gluten-free, and it was handled so easily, with plenty of options—including fresh bread every night. A special mention to the food and beverage manager, who even had the kitchen prepare Sri Lankan pancakes for us as a surprise—one of our absolute favourites. We packed our stay with activities and loved every one of them—from snorkeling the house reef (which is fantastic) to a cooking class, dolphin spotting and snorkeling trip, swimming with nurse sharks, high tea, and even a floating breakfast. A huge highlight for our group was the diving. The captains and crew were outstanding, delivering truly exceptional experiences—including a night dive and a “lucky” dive where we encountered manta rays, something we had hoped for but knew was never guaranteed. It made the whole experience even more special. What truly made the trip, though, was the service. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and everything was handled with warmth and ease. Our assigned butler, Aitte, made the entire stay seamless and stress-free—always one step ahead and incredibly attentive. We’d also like to thank all the kitchen and service staff—everyone we interacted with was genuinely lovely. And a big shoutout to the Waves team—Ben, Pinky, the “handsome man” (sorry we didn’t catch your name!), and the rest of the crew—who made all our water activities smooth, fun, and easy to enjoy. This was an unforgettable stay, and truly one of the best island experiences we’ve ever had. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

The hotel left the best impressions. The staff is friendly and to the point — they solve issues quickly. The service is pleasant, attentive, but not intrusive. The food was excellent: a very diverse cuisine, including European, Asian, and Indian options — you can try something new every day. The breakfast selection is especially large, but lunches and dinners don't disappoint either. A special highlight is the coral reef right off the shore. You don't need to take a boat anywhere — just put on a mask and swim. There are so many fish — bright, large — and we saw turtles several times; they came quite close. On top of that, the hotel has plenty of entertainment and activities, including paddle. Overall, a great option for a varied and enjoyable vacation.

Our second time at W Maldives, and it’s even more beautiful post‑renewal! This stay was extra special because it was our honeymoon and also my birthday, so it felt even more memorable. The amazing reef is snorkeling heaven, and the food was fantastic—especially the FISH restaurant, where the whole team was amazing. We highly recommend the nurse shark snorkeling tour—it was safe and well‑organized. The W Maldives also offered daily gym workout session, which I joined and really enjoyed; it was a great way to stay active while on holiday. Our room was cleaned very well every day, and there was a lovely turndown service every night, which made everything feel extra special and comfortable. The beach and pool area always looked spotless as well. Special extra shoutouts to John Firaash, who was absolute standout. John is one of the most genuinely caring and thoughtful persons we’ve ever met. The last time we met at W Maldives was 2023, glad to have reunited since then. He took incredible care of us from breakfast (the kitchen) to dinner (at FISH) with heartfelt surprises: fresh‑picked flowers, printed our favorite Pikachus on our table and dessert, and a personalized painted souvenir that made our hearts smile. Mei Chun at FISH also took great care of us at dinner. The front office team, especially the colleague who had worked in Macau before (sorry that we don’t remember his name) impressed us with their warm welcome and island/room tour. One small note: we’d love to try more local Maldivian‑style cuisine next time—there were a lot more Asian dishes this visit compared to the last time we came (haha, still delicious though!). We’ll definitely be back—W Maldives made our honeymoon and birthday truly unforgettable!

Everything was simply excellent, it was our seventh time on Maldives and our second time on W maldives. We travelled with our 6 year old son - he never felt bored, the staff was amazing. we will return next year.
