Campanile Hotel Northampton

Awful … Stayed in room 216 Bedding was covered in short hairs, fluff and pubes…you need to lint roll The wall and the paint was damaged and not repaired The shower had mould and limescale No hand towels provided, which is strange Hotel is dog friendly… our room had multiple brown stains on the carpet…. Needs carpet cleaning and air freshener if you’re going to let dogs stay in the rooms! Disgusting! Toilet seat was rusted and hanging off!!! Shocked… only booked as it was cheap but had good reviews and a good rating on booking . Com!

The helpful and friendly staff made my stay a good one. The room was warm and clean which was nice

Spacious room, though a little tired. Fine for a good nights sleep, but nothing to write home about. Breakfast was good.

Your typical budget hotel off the motorway. Decent place to rest your head and neither dirty nor sparkling. Pretty good breakfast selection of cooked and dry foods. Staff are nonchalant - there on hand if needed, but not overly attentive or dismissive. No complaints but also nothing to particularly highlight.

Nice, clean hotel...very springy beds though!

Booked for early Friday morning medical appointment. Arrived 2030. Car Park not well lit and several guests congregated around the front doors smoking. Reception staff friendly and efficient. Room was basic. Toilet seat was broken. Reported to Reception who to be fair offered me another room, which I declined as only for one night (and my expectations were already falling) Went for dinner across road as the lobby/dining area was rowdy/noisy with the feel of a motorway services. On return was going to have a beer but, again the surroundings were uninviting, so headed to bed. Comfortable bed and slept until 2am, when the stamping, slamming and shouting started - This continued for over 40 minutes and eventually quietened down again just after 3am. Tried to go back to sleep, but to no avail... Give the resulting sleep deprivation, it would have been better for me to leave early from home rather than stay over. Would not revisit and will likely not be booking Campanile in the UK again.

We didn't know much about the Campanile before we arrived, but they accepted dogs and we were visiting Northampton with our cockapoo. the reception staff were exceptionally helpful and very friendly. The room was quiet, and clean ,the bed comfortable and the shower - probably the best I have ever used in any hotel. We shall stay here again when visiting family, it was great value for money.

The staff were friendly and accomodating but the hotel has gone downhill since the last time I stayed. The room a/c did not work, there was no tv remote, no hairdryer, iron/ ironing board, front desk telephone and the bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast was excellent

Terrible hotel. Checked in for two days. 2nd day I complained of the air conditioning which was not working around 11pm, the geezer at the reception tried to fix it but couldn't. I told him not to worry since I will be leaving in the morning. Few hrs later while sleeping, I noticed something crawling on my body, switched on the light, it was a massive spider. I went to the reception and the dude at the reception blatantly told me the hotel is fully booked for the night. That, I should check out or sleep in the room like that. I told him no way I am sleeping in that room again, they moved me to a disabled room, which I did not enjoy cos it had cobwebs too. The dude at the reception was rude. Twice I have used this hotel, twice it ended in disappointment. I will not recommend.

On arrival the carpark was very busy but a member of staff came out to assist people parking, Once entering the hotel we were greatest by a lovely young lady who booked us all in very quickly and guided us to the lift. The rooms are very basic but functional and since we were only using it as a place to sleep this was ok Unfortunately there would appear to have been some kind of function on at the hotel so it was very busy and noisy but this quieten down by the time we had returned from a meal we had planned
