Campanile Hotel Northampton

Clean and good value

I recently stayed at the Hilton Cardiff. At a fraction of that price the Campanile Northampton was immeasurably better in every regard. Admittedly the Hilton set the bar very low. Friendly staff, a modern and clean building, and a fully featured bedroom with, thank god, plug sockets by the bed. Great value. Would definitely stay in a Campanile again.

Well located to motorway & near where I had to go, comfy bed, nice room & staff where helpful. Breakfast was great & overall a great place to stay at a great price. Will book again when down that way

Good value for money budget hotel. Friendly staff and clean. However the floors are really squeaky and the walls are really thin, you can hear people in other rooms and walking in the hallway always.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed this year. In May I was charged £15 for my dog, when Hotels.com stated £5 on their website. The hotel said they had advised Hotels.com of the correct price, but no, it has still not been updated. Be aware the correct price is £15. Some hotels charge less, but I cannot fault this Campanile.

Good location for our needs, clean and comfortable. Strongest point, very friendly staff.

Very poor welcome eye contact with receptionist as walked to counter, to then be ignored as started to engage with another guest at a locked fridge. I was just ignored until that Guest had paid for a bar of chocolate. The heating in room did not work, the phone in room did not work, the bathroom door was damaged. When walked back to reception about heating was told would reset from reception, that did not work when went back again was given a fan heater, asked for a different room, told none available, asked for a reduction was told no manager on site needed to fill in form. Which I did, was told Manager would be in contact, no contact has been made. 4 days later. The fan heater was very noisy and totally not appropriate for a bedroom, I expect heating in a hotel bedroom in November as a basic. At breakfast no staff around to seat you, bacon very poorly cooked clearly just lumped together in an oven barely cooked. Mushrooms cold, sausage was ok which is the only acceptable part of the experience. Long queue at check out so left key in checkout box as expecting my form to be responded to, sadly not to be.
