Mason Elephant Lodge

This property is located above UBUD at TARO. Since it is secluded and dense forest you need to have your own vehicle because Gojek & Grab are not easily avilable. We had an smooth check - in & the staff was cooperative and spoke fluent English. Our room was Standard but had all the amenities of a 5 star hotel. Later the receptionist informed us that they are offering complimentary elephant ride to their restaurant for Ala carte dinner. We really loved it as the experience was amazing & new for us. We really enjoyed the ride. Next day was our check out so we asked the receptionist to arrange elephant ride at 9 a.m & they oblige. We enjoyed our ride & the elephant was very friendly & calm. My conclusion for this elephant park is that one should visit this park for an different experience and if you want to have close touch with elephants.

This place was magical, the staff in every area were wonderful and so kind as well. I loved this place so much and will be back again.

Unique encounter with elephants

This property is a terrible place. We arrived after booking the 'Luxury Suite' to all be thrown into communal accommodation, one big room for our family. We had to sit in the dark from 7pm whilst our young children slept. It was supposed to be a working holiday, we were unable to work that evening. We stayed 1 night as the children were tired after the 3 hour drive. We saw the elephant trainers using excessive force on the elephants (metal spikes) which they say they do not do on the website. The elephants are also chained up for the majority of the day. The hotel agreed to refund us the 5 night balance upon checkout, and we found alternate accommodation. Now, they are saying that they told us on the day that we would not be receiving a refund. We are now trying to retrieve the agreed refund through Expedia. We are deeply disappointed and in disbelief. I would not recommend this accommodation to anybody. DO NOT STAY HERE.

If you like wildlife and animals in particular this is a MUST see and stay

The customer service was excellent and the stafff well trained.

Really nice place in the Bali countryside and it comes with elephants too! You can ride, wash and feed the elephants I plus you can get a ride to dinner on one!

Was so much fun and totally cool going out to our balcony and having an elephant below.
