Shoreline Cottages

Nice place to stay. Cute little cabins with fridge. Kitchen & nice bath.

We love staying here! This will be our third time. Cottages were clean. Pet friendly. Items for your fur baby is given. Our request for early check in is always met. Close to all the beaches and downtown Fort Bragg. Love the fireplace for the cooler nights. Easy access in and out of the property. Mini kitchen w sink, microwave, toaster oven, plates untensils, bowls cups, etc. Provided. Own parking space. We will definitely be back next year.

The original door code did not work. I called, and it was immediately rectified. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. The fireplace was a plus. The only bummer was that the jets in the spa tub did not work, but no biggie. We will definitely stay here again when in the area

We have stayed here before and really like it . It’s an old Motor court . We do know it’s old and that’s part of its charm . However, The toilet in cottage 3 runs often . I know how to jiggle the handle but after it flushes, we have to keep doing it . I also mentioned to housekeeping that I saw a few ants . ( She was very attentive - always glad to help ) I do not hold that against them . It was very clean, very comfortable ands great Location and we’ll probably stay here again .

Very comfortable bed in main room with electronic fireplace, table and two chairs. It had a tiny bathroom but a well equipped kitchen and stainless steel sink/counter. I only had one night there but could easily imagine spending several days. It is also located nearly across the street from the Mendocino Botanical Garden which is a must see if you like gardens.

The cottages were strange. The property was neglected, with no manager on site. The cottage was fairly clean, quiet and it did have a full size fridge and gas range. The door lock keypad was scratched up so badly, that you couldn't read any numbers. It had some really pretty landscaping, but it was all overgrown and full of weeds. The area was a bit sketchy and access was challenging, being on Highway 1. It didn't have the same vibe that it had in the photos. Ha.

We booked the lighthouse room for a beach getaway for our anniversary. We were traveling with our dog so that was one of the reasons we chose Shoreline cottages, when we arrived, we received a text with the code to open our room and we proceeded to open the room, but we found that there was already another person staying in it, and they told us that they would be there for the next two days. We called the office and they told us there was only one room available and we could take it or they would help us find another room somewhere in town. We accepted the room. It was different than the room that we thought we were getting it was much smaller, but it was clean. The office manager told us that they would refund 50% of our stay because of the mixup, we agreed to stay two nights, but we have not been given a refund as of yet the room was clean and functional but very small for two people and a dog. The bed was fairly comfortable and the shower had good water flow. We did bring food with us and woke up the next morning to a lot of ants so we had to throw out all of the food that we brought. We never use the hot tub, but it looked nice.

A wonderful weekend away. Nice and simple room with nice light a bathtub and functional kitchen. Extremely comfortable bed! Easy communication with staff via text once checked in. I will come back. More to explore!

I have been coming to Ft. Bragg for over 20 years, and this is the first time staying at Shoreline cottages - not sure why it took me so long, but I'll be back! Safe, clean, cozy, good location. Stayed in the Dolphin Room. The gardens are lovely - great to sit and read or have some wine. There are a few recommendations. 1. The cottage had a musty smell. I bought a candle to burn, and the smell inside the cottage disappeared. The smell did impact the dishes to where I wasn't comfortable using them without washing first. Recommend they leave cabinets open/do something to air out the cottage. Being on the coast, it's not unexpected but should be addressed. 2. The kitchen cabinet doors stuck a bit - for a couple I had to use a knife to pry them open - seems like it could be easily addressed 3. Some throw rugs at the side of the bed would be nice as it was cold in the mornings with bare feet. Recommend staying - if you like luxury, this is not the place. If you want a safe, cozy, reasonably priced place to land, relax, decompress and explore the area, this is the place to be. Dolphin was cottage #1 right by HWY 1 - I took my hearing aids out and it was good. If you're sensitive to noise, book a cottage closer to the back.
