Decameron Panaca - All Inclusive

DO NOT BOTHER GOING HERE! Everything closes at 6pm. If you spend the day at Parque del Café or Panaca you come back to a hotel that is basically a bed and breakfast. Pools, spa, table tennis, shop...all the facilities close at 6pm. They do not allow anyone under 18 from using the pool table even when accompanied by their parents, why? You cannot book a table in the restaurant unless you do so at 8am, which is impossible to do when you check in at 3pm. Also, the a la carte restaurant is closed on Sundays. Nowhere on their website are any of these times listed. There is nothing to do except go to your room and sleep. Breakfast buffet was woefully serviced, with many empty trays on display. 'All inclusive' is very misleading for this hotel. We booked in for 2 nights and left after one night.

I would like to share feedback regarding my recent experience. After driving four hours to reach your location, I presented my U.S. Passport Card as identification. Unfortunately, the staff refused to accept it and informed me, in a dismissive manner, that “only a passport is a legal document.” This left me standing alone at the counter and feeling unwelcome. As a traveler from another country, I believe staff should be more informative and professional when explaining identification requirements. Additionally, it would be helpful if your office provided clearer guidance on accepted documents and ensured that staff were trained to deliver this information respectfully. For safety reasons, many travelers prefer not to carry a passport at all times, so having updated information about which legal IDs are acceptable would prevent misunderstandings like this in the future. Thank you for considering this feedback. I hope steps can be taken to improve communication and customer service for others in similar situations.
