Skala Hotel

The hotel was very nice and clean. Located close to the Patmos port. There are parts of the hotel that seem a little dated but then Patmos is a historical place. I would stay here again when I come back.

First of all, it has perhaps the nicest and most helpful staff of any hotel we have ever stayed at. The manager Theo also did everything he could do to make our stay an enjoyable one. The hotel was well kept and modern for a European hotel and Patmos is a small relaxing island with nice beaches, nice people and great food.

We stayed at Skala Hotel ony one night but this was one of our favorites. Staff was VERY professional. We enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend this hotel as a keeper. Room was Beautiful, Clean and Comfortable.Food and Bar was Outstanding. Can safely say Best Looking Hotel I ever stayed at. Looking forward to our return.

I cannot understand the negative reviews given to this wonderful hotel. It is an excellent hotel in the perfect location to explore Patmos. I would stay at Skala if I ever visit the island agin. I highly recommend it.

Basic hotel. Firm beds, dated in almost every way. Basic breakfast. Most like a Motel 6 in the States. Not charming in anyway. Perhaps not much choices in Patmos.

We had a two-day vacation in Patmos. Skala Hotel was convenient to everything in the town, and we were quite comfortable.

The hotel is okay, if you are looking for an average accomodation, but only for 1 or 2 nights. The staff at the reception desk was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, big buffet offering a big variety. But the cleanliness and condition of the room itself was not worth the price be paid. The bracket holding the shower head was loose. The remote control of the air conditioning unit did not work, such as the remote control of the television. There were some hairs on the toilet seat and also on the balcony, quite obviously. Unfortunately, the latter is the only fact I took a photo of. As to the location of the room, we had originally ordered one with sea view and got one facing the back, but we found ourselves lucky, since the street in the front of the hotel presented itself quite loud around the clock.

This is a wonderful little hotel right in the heart of Patmos. The people at the front desk were very helpful with advice about getting around and seeing the island. The pool with its swim-up bar was wonderful for relaxing at the end of a hot day of sightseeing.

Skala Hotel was a pleasant stay. It is very nice, clean, and affordable. The pool and terrace make for an attractive entrance. The hotel staff is friendly and able to speak English. It is also one of the easier hotels to find in Patmos. While everything is close to the port this one is just to the right on the main street. I didn't know where I was going exactly and I still found it after just a few minutes walk. Other hotels looked nice too but were more obscurely tucked in to the neighborhood.
