Candlewood Suites Harrisburg I-81 Hershey Area by IHG

From the very start of check in the front lobby was in shambles which should’ve been our first clue. There was unfinished paint, discolored carpet etc. The room was decent looking but only gets touched once a week from room service/staff so we had to ask for towels/rags each day. We put in a complaint about the bathtub because it kept filling with still water during our shower. The front desk said they would have someone look at it Saturday while we were away and we woke up Sunday morning to take showers and it was the same way. Avoid this place at all costs.

I enjoy this hotel they provided good hospitality and was very convenient and was flexible and understanding

The hotel rooms could use a bit of a detail cleaning. There was dust on the vents, curtains had tiny hopes, the coffee pot looked dirty and there was a bug in my room. The pool out sofa bed was horrible. Felt all the springs. The bed sheets looked dirty.

We always check for cleanliness before we take our bags in (in case of bed bugs). There were no bugs but the room was dirty. Found a crusty sock under the mattress. Food wrappers were under the beds. The trash cans had stuck food under the liners. The floor had lots of hair and crumbs on the carpet. The bathroom had patch work jobs not repainted and torn up trim with mildew/moldy caulk. The ceiling over the kitchenette was greasy with dust and cobwebs. We felt gross staying there.

Everything was nice.I would have preferred to have mattress covers on the bed.And maybe we wouldn't have ran into bedbugs.

Clean room

It was not very clean tv don’t work pool did not work could not get help at front desk over all not a great place mads where good but management was not good .

I can't say enough good things about our stay here!!! We planned a trip to see the Capitol and other historic museums and wanted to be clos. We were only 10 minutes from everything! The rooms have just been redone and are fabulous. I'm talking full size fridge, completely stocked kitchen for cooking, even a dishwasher!!! Incredible breakfast and dinner get togethers a few nights a week. The farm complex is around the corner and many of the guests with kids were going to Hershey park. There is also a fabulous nature park right up the street with miles of paths. The staff really goes out of their way and we really can't wait to go back! Oh and the price was great,too!
