Maui Banyan - Maui Condo & Home

I and my family had a great stay in Maui Banyan. The locaion is perfect, as it's literally across the beach, Kamaole beach park 2. Quite and less touristic, less crowded, but there are shopping malls and restaurants so overall it's almost perfect. Condo is very large, and equipped with almost everything we needed. Large full kitchen with spices and everyhing, large two bathrooms and huge bedrooms. There are even beach chairs, beach towels, and bodyboards. Facility it a bit old, but it's common in Hawaii. You won't have better facility in Oahu with same room charge. The only bad thing for our stay was the staff. We were told that the condo was being managed by another management company and whatever we need we have to contact the management company not the reception. The staff at receiption were unfriendly and indifferent. They gave me a wrong contact number of the management company, it was actually local police department. Imagine you are in a foreign country and accidentally called a police department to request a fix of the bathroom. I went to the front desk to tell them, but no one apologised. Apparently, the 'management company' was very friendly, and prompt. But it's not 24 hour service, and can only be contacted by phone call. This is the only bad point about this place.

If you are looking for a hotel, this is not it. It is much more a condo which is rented out when the owners aren't there. No room service, housekeeping, etc. however, the location is great-right on the beach, and the room had a beautifully redone kitchen and bathrooms. Overall I would definitely stay again since it was more like staying at a beach rental than a hotel.

Good location and across is a beautiful beach. Condo room needs renovations and cleaning. Toliets didn't flush. Bedroom and bathroom doors didn't close properly.

Great family vacation, place we stayed in was awesome. Condo included everything we needed plus more. Beach was great and hotel grounds and pool areas were well kept and clean.

This room's air conditioner was broke down, so upon entering the room, after a 5-hour flight and a 3-hour wait to check into hotel, WE WERE ABSOLUTELY miserable. It was 80 degrees fehrenhiet and very humid. We waited about an hour before we were given access to the condo next door and, again, only to find out the room had no air conditioner at all. The third time was a charm. We finally got into a room around 7:00 pm., totally exhausted that we pretty much slept the whole next day and much too tired to do any sight-seeing in Maui. I feel two days were wasted on our six-day vacation. So, so unfortunate.

Our experience at the Maui Banyan was excellent. I would definately recommend this place to everyone that I know
