Ameristar Casino Hotel Vicksburg

Called to see if we could check in early sure come about 2 so we did. Sure you can check in Upcharge though. Oh and only coffee and water on first day. Staying longer too bad. But wait we will do it this one time. Room number please. Did they show up NOPE

Old buildings..

Did not have a hair dryer. Most of the ice makers did not work.

Staff was awesome. Hotel was somewhat clean. The big downside for me was the smell of weed throughout the hotel! A guy literally got off the elevator amoking a swisher sweet so our whole elevator ride smelled of swisher and weed.

Booked two rooms. My room smelled of smoke. Fire detector was ripped off the wall and I found it in a bag in the closet. Room was not clean and no soap products in the bathroom. Demanded another room. The new room smelled fine but was still not clean and no soap products. The 2nd room I booked for my parents was dirty and also no soap. We both asked to have soap brought up to the room. They received theirs I did not. Got tired of asking so bought a $5 bar of soap at the Circle K across the street. Went to shower in the morning and the shampoo and conditioner bottles were empty. This was definitely not worth $260 a night for each room. I told the desk clerk when we checked out and she apologized and said one of the rooms would be refunded as I paid for these back on Nov 10 when I booked. Went to look at my credit statement and saw that instead of getting a refund I was charged again for a room. I have tried to call the hotel but get no answer. I have emailed the hotel and have not gotten an answer. Beyond frustrated so I am reporting the charges as fraud with my credit card company.

great thanksgiving day buffet. tons of selections and good quality. no ceasar salad or prime rib or ice cream. self parking excellent and lots of open slots. Still very smoky inside. Nice day overall for a holiday meal and cheap slots to keep busy

Doors to enter room very dusty as were the bathroom doors with spotting Sll over bathroom door. Had to ask for toilet paper as only partial tool and no spare
