The staff was great. The hotel's location was excellent. Many of the rooms have balconies with views of the water but we had a good laugh about our great view of the sidewalk and the people walking by from our lwindows. The hotel terrace has a good view which we enjoyed.

"Totally enjoyable hotel in beautiful location"

10.0

Arrived late - no problem. Lovely room overlooking a fantastic fjord view. When I had made the reservation, there were no fjord view rooms available, so I added a note asking them to move us if someone else cancelled, and they did! The area has some very picturesque hikes and the staff provided a map for those.

"Right on Geiranger Fjord "

8.0

Incredibly windy road getting down to Geiranger from the east. You must go all the way to the end to get to Hotell Geiranger, which puts it very close to the ferry and the little shops. Get there early if you want to go to the buffet restaurant on floor six for dinner, but the other restaurant on the ground floor stays open. Hotel is actually split in half, floors 5-11 including reception are on the uphill side, while the lower floors are across the street on the downhill side. Free parking down below. Non view room looks toward the hill behind, away from the fjord but it is not bad. You got a great view for 30 minutes driving down the road after all, and you can go down to the water edge easily for more. Bed was a bit creaky but the shower was good. Breakfast (included) is the traditional Scandinavian with bread, cheese, meats, yogurt, plus bacon and eggs. Expensive overall, but right close to the car ferry, which that’s you past the Seven Sisters on your way to Hellsylt, which is highly recommended.

"Good location"

Location great for fjord cruise. Friendly reception staff. Our room did not have a view over the fjord which was disappointing. Very much a hotel catering for bus groups so pick your time for breakfast.

"Excellent"

The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were lucky to be upgraded as we came off season so the hotel was quiet. The room was very comfortable with a beautiful view. They are doing renovations on the 7th floor at the moment. The breakfast was plentiful but there was not much fresh fruit available.

"STAY AWAY"

2.0

We stayed on the 9th floor. There was a private party on the 7th floor lounge. The music was so loud, we could not sleep. We went to the reception, where nobody was found. We called the hotel number, and nobody picked up. The music finally stopped at 2:10 AM. Then the party goers hung out on our floor, and I didn't fall asleep until around 3:30 AM... then the music resumed at 5:30ish and we woke back up. We had a long day of driving ahead, and I was very unhappy with the lack of rest. This was the worst hotel experience we've had in the world. I usually book a hotel based on location and cleanliness. I never expected a hotel's priority to be so wrong. The hotel also doesn't seem to understand that travelers may be tired. If I knew this would happen, I would've stayed further away as I had a rental car. On a side note, my sheet had blood stain.

"Perfect location, awesome views, two great nights!"

10.0

Great hotel, perfect location. They were doing some remodeling but overall it was a great couple nights. Only think I would ask for is a sticky floor for the bathtub. Really slick after washing your feet. Other than that, no complaints! Will definitely stay there again. Views are amazing!
