Havila Hotel Geiranger

Absolutely loved my stay here. The staff was kind and helpful.

Loved the staff, they were very helpful with advice and even gave us a room upgrade. The hotel itself is in need of updating, the hallways, doors and even the locks are very old. The bathroom was a concern for me. The floors are very slippery in sock feet and I almost fell the first time I went in there. My sister said the same thing about the bathtub when she showered and the shower heads do not extend enough for a tall person. Because there is no caulking around the bathtub water also goes all over the floor. The views the hotel provide are beautiful, the breakfast was excellent as well as the staff and the bar at night was great. There was even entertainment which made for an enjoyable evening.

Perfect for either a short or extended stay in Geiranger. The staff was very friendly and helped us navigate around the many tour/cruise groups that arrive daily. Free parking & WiFi, room included breakfast buffet. Comfortable room (medium-to-large by Euro standards), private bath w/heated floor, balcony w/panoramic view of the fjord.

The location was good, just next to the pier. We got free upgrade to room with view. The room was spacious and clean. Buffet breakfast was acceptable.

We enjoyed staying in this hotel. Our rooms had a balcony with a view of the fjord which we made the most of. The food was very good consisting of buffet for both breakfast and dinner. The staff were very pleasant to deal with.

The views from our hotel room were incredible! We could see right out our window across the fjord. My only complaint was there were a lot of tour groups also staying in the hotel who were up really early, and the hotel has really thin walls. You could hear people closing doors, talking, and walking to breakfast starting around 6:30 am. Not a big issue for us, as we had an early start to our day, but would have been frustrating if we were trying to sleep in until 7 or 8 am.

Very nice hotel is a beautiful setting. Very pleasantly surprised to receive a free upgrade after we arrived to a room with a balcony that overlooked the Geirangerfjord. Morning breakfast was good. Staff was great.

A great but expensive hotel right near the centre of Geirangerfjord - easy walking distance anywhere you need to go.
