Beach View

This was our second visit to Beach View in Paynes Bay. Essentially we agree with all that has been said about the cleanliness and spaciousness of the accommodation, with the added bonus of an excellent daily cleaning service. The Welcome Pack was also appreciated. The 3 pools are all very good and a lot of attention is paid to keeping them, as well as the surrounding areas, spotlessly clean and well-maintained. There is, however, one major drawback to the property, which is alluded to in the Reviews Summary, namely the constant noise from the busy main road that runs past the property, which not only prevents you having a relaxing stay, but the fumes from the traffic are extremely unpleasant. As we were aware of this from our previous visit, I specifically requested a room located as far away from the road as possible. However, my request was ignored and we were allocated a room that was as near to the road as it is possible to be.

This our second visit to Beach View and it was a peaceful and relaxing as I remembered it. We had a lovely ground floor apartment in the luxury passsion fruit suites which was spacious and airy with everything we needed for our stay. The housekeeping staff were excellent and came daily. The gardeners are constantly working to ensure the grounds and pools are maintained. The kitchen was spacious and overall adequately equipped with everything you need for preparing meals at home. The onsite hut sells the basics and some provisions can be purchased from the petrol station a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. That said there is a large Macy's supermarket a short bus or taxi journey away in Holetown, although some items are very expensive (coffee for example) so bring your favourite from home if you can). There are some local restaurants (to suit all budgets) a short walk away, but again plenty of choices in Holetown. The onsite Apple Tree Cafe serves beautiful meals, although sadly no longer provides takeaway pizzas which was a shame. The little onsite bar (Stede's Hideaway) is small but very friendly and often shows live sports. We've had two lovely holidays at this hotel and feel very comfortable and well cared for here. Highly recommended if you're looking for a nice family run hotel on the west coast within easy access to Holetown.

As always looked after very well and is an ideal location to stay. Barbados was much busier than normal but we were able to get around. The only thing that would have been nice is to have an electrical point close to the bedroom mirror.

A lovely very well run hotel, across the street from a small public beach. There are several swimming pools, but to swim in calm waters in the sea requires a 10 minute walk up the road. Well manicured property with many flowering trees and shrubs.

A hotel well run by a first class family. We hope to return in the near future. It was good to have the time at this hotel.

Our third visit in the last 14 months. Just a great vibe. Every member of the staff were helpful, friendly, polite and went out of their way to give advice when required. i.e security when we were going to the beach, 'be careful out there, quite a strong tide' etc Room was excellent and cleaned every day. Nice touches like tea and coffee topped up daily. A welcome plate of bagels and jam etc and fridge filled with bottles of water to start us off. A full sized kitchen which was very useful when bringing back fresh food or takeaways. It is self catering which suites our requirements. Also a washing machine and tumble dryer (Classic suites) We cannot praise Beach View enough !!! It was great to see the owner Robin making his daily walks and check ups to make sure everything was spot on. Great location-beach over the road and bus stops north and south outside the hotel. Bars and restaurants within easy walking distance and Holetown only a 30ish minute walk away. We will be back soon !!!

The apartment and everything in it is top quality. Great pool(s), A good location with a reasonable selection of restaurants within walking distance and more within a bus ride.

We had a fantastic family holiday staying in a 2 bedroom Passionfruit Suite. The accommodation has everything you need, is modern, spotlessly clean with amazing sea views. The whole hotel is extremely well maintained & the staff are warm & friendly. Marissa was particularly helpful with all her tips for places to visit & booking restaurants for us. There are some great restaurants within walking distance & Sugar Apple on site was also very good. It’s very easy to get up & down the coast day & night using the buses which are frequent, cheap & good fun. We would definitely return to this hotel.

The facilities were spacious and clean. The self-catering option worked well for us and was better than our previous options elsewhere in Barbados. It meant a much more relaxed vacation. The staff were all friendly and nothing was a problem to them.
