We recently experienced a house fire and, in the middle of that trauma, finding a place to stay became another unexpected battle. Every other hotel we contacted gave us the blues — long explanations, no flexibility, no compassion. But not the Holiday Inn Express. From the moment we connected with Matlyn, everything shifted. She helped us in more ways than one and made sure we got a room when we truly needed it. Her kindness, patience, and willingness to go the extra mile made an overwhelming situation feel manageable. Then we met Jamel, and his customer service was just as superb. He was professional, compassionate, and genuinely caring. Both Matlyn and Jamel exceeded our expectations and made navigating the trauma of a fire more palatable. In a moment where we felt displaced and shaken, this hotel gave us more than a room — they gave us relief, dignity, and peace of mind. We are incredibly grateful.
