Beautiful outdoors.Enjoyed morning coffee sitting outside in very green surroundings.Very peaceful.The quiet peaceful atmosphere was just what I was looking for .Very enjoyable stay.

"A simple but quaint Inn!"

This is a simple but quaint no-hassle in. You let yourself in and that's it. The rooms are friendly and cozy, everything is clean and in good shape. All window views and very nice and calming – it's all garden with huge trees (check out the magnificent old white oak!!). It is very quiet since it's off the main road. If you are looking for an uncomplicated and relaxed stay, this is it!

"It was quaint and private but otherwise uncomfortable."

There was no breakfast served or offered.

There was not an option to change air temperature in a second floor room( warm air rises),which made the stay very uncomfortable.

"Very good"

No breakfast, but we did have coffee. Loved the Inn and furnishings which were appropriate for the age of the building. Very comfortable stay.

Could not get in touch with the Inn-Keeper upon check in. We figured things out (no key!) but would have preferred to "know" we were in the right room. Other than that, the experience was fine.

June and Duane were great hosts. The coffee was excellent and the homemade muffins on Sunday were a pleasant surprise. Thank you for a wonderful weekend. We will be back in the fall.

Excellent location just outside of Black Mountain. Quiet location with easy access to Black Mountain and area. Beautiful grounds and 200-year-old heritage trees. History of this 200-year-old ex-stagecoach stop. Simple but comfortable with quite a bit of simple art deco period furnishings and art.

Not much - perhaps the weather?
