Logis Hôtel Le Plantagenêt

This hotel is conveniently located with free parking on the square. Staff was friendly and one spoke English which was a welcome bonus for us. The room was nice and the bathroom was recently updated. Cute courtyard and delicious continental breakfast. I would definitely recommend this place.

Very pleasant hotel. Warm welcome. Traditional style. Good breakfast and close to town centre. The next door bistro is worth a visit for a high standard meal at a reasonable price. Chinon is in a good position for touring around several chateaux in the Loire.

This hotel well located in the center of town. We ate at tge restaurant and the food was very good. Their breakfast is excellent and the charge for is very reasonable. They only problem encountered , our room had been assigned to someone else. We were accommodated in the other hotel near by.

Absolutely fantastic stay - staff are helpful in every way and cannot do enough to make your stay a happy one. Cannot recommend them enough - stay there if you are ever in the area

It’s a well-located hotel, across from Place Jeanne (free parking - except market day on Thursday, when you have to park elsewhere). It’s a creaky old building, with thick old polished floorboards, ranged over three floors, with a modern annexe behind over two floors. The manager/owner is friendly and she speaks good English. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms (there’s a kettle outside one of the other rooms) and on the third floor there was no WiFi, and even after I pointed this out and the manager said someone would check and fix it, there still wasn’t any. I can’t say what the breakfast was like, as I was up and out without it every day. But the shower was good and strong, even though the ancient bath was a bit odd with a two-inch drop halfway down.

We had a lovely overnight stop, lovely hotel and very welcoming the only thing that could cause a problem is there are 3 flights of stairs and no lift

Good location. Nice place.

Our room was small and there's no elevator in the hotel. Great location and friendly staff. The A/C was great to have as we arrived during a heat wave. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here in the future.
