Haijun Hotel

I was very pleased to stay at this hotel. The River view was spectacular and the price was very, very good. The staff were always willing to accomodate my requests despite the language barrier. My only concern was that the shower was not seperated from the rest of the bathroom, but this was minor. The breakfast buffet was great with a vast selection. It was located in a beautiful area, close to the buses, the river boat cruise booking office, and an evening stroll along the river was very relaxing. The best value for your stay.

The actual hotel name is bailing. This hotel is situated in a nice location. The room and bathroom is nice and comfortable. I had the room with the river view and it is beautiful at night. However there is no Cable for Foreigners. Sorry no English Channel at all. Staff hardly speak English too but try to be accomodative. The Breakfast buffet does not really cater to Visitors. Not so much you can relate to. Overall It is not that bad. I would go back there again.

Hotel is a good location with good views of the river if you ask for a river view room. Good sized rooms with excellent bathroom and not so hard mattresses. Buffet breakfast good with European options. Overall a good hotel with good reception staff but diner staff could be better with english and menus with english descriptions.

Thay need to learn English, i had big trouble communicating with them

good service hotel, location not bad, but if u wanna booking always ask for non smoking floor. Breakfast just so so.I may be more appreciated if they have better breakfast.

Pro: Location was great. River view was spectacular. Con: Most items (including eggs) on the breakfast buffet were cold, including tea and coffee. Dining room has "No Smoking" signs posted everywhere, but there are ashtrays on all the tables and quite a number of smokers during breakfast and even dinner. We complained to the manager, and she shrugged her shoulders. The English channels (BBC, CNN) on the TV did not work all 15 days we were there. We had a no smoking room, but the air duct is such that we can smell smoking from other rooms.

I stayed at the Bai Ling for six nights. For the first couple of days our mobile & room phones didn't work. So we couldn't phone home to let them know we had arrived safely. The hotel staff sent us to a shopping centre where no one spoke English. I then hired an interperator for four days who helped us purchase a Chinese mobile phone and went sight seeing with us. Our party checked into two rooms and we received one room key for each room. One the second last day, I couldn't find my room key. I ended up getting into a screaming match after ten minutes with the staff behind the front desk to let me into my room. On check out I found the lost room key in the credit card compartment of my purse. They then mentioned on checkout that we where giving two keys per room which isn't true and tried to charge us RMB$50.00 which is around AU$9.00. They ended up eventually letting us check out without paying it as we had a flight to catch.

Management of the rooms is terrible. Booking online i think saved me from being bumped like some others. Breakfast was identical for all 6 days. Vegetarian options very limited to noodles, green veggie, fries and toast. Meat options not so great either (i assume). And everything was cold. But it was included so can't complain really here. Wired internet was stable and fast. Shower temperature and pressure was great. But the washroom needs a major scrubbing. Room was old but decent. Bed good, pillows good. Spacious enough for morning workout. Location is not so great i think. But Beijing Lu shopping area is about 15 minute walk - closest place to find non-Chinese food. No laundry nearby. Quality massage 2 blocks East. For Canton Fair, the bus service is limited to 2 departures and arrivals. I'm a Canadian business traveler.

When I booked, I booked a mini room, and it was mini. It was very small, no windows small.
