Excellent service Rooms spacious Rooms maybe little musty and needed febreze and more intense fresheners

I tried to book on booking.com twice for 80 something pounds but the booking would not go through. I then called the hotel direct to book and they tried to charge me £140 but again, the payment would not go through. I then tried to book myself on hotels.com for £72 and it worked, using the same card, only 30 minutes later. I am disappointed that the hotel tried to over charge me by around 100%.

Disgusted advertised as including breakfast andthen said we had to pay £12 per person per night. Lady in reception not helpful... did not say steps as in outbuilding.. had buggy and lots of bags as travelling with baby. Said £15 per night for cot so took own. Then was told included.. pleased but frustrated had to fit cot in car. Room was spacious which helped with cot, baby feeding at night. Had togot bacm reception to get towels for lesiure facilities.. was not explained when checking in Luckily door was unlockednas again with baby and in rain would not have been good to be left in cold trying to work out way in. Should have been explained at reception when booking in. Overall eould not book woth expedia but would go back to fox fields. First night was jept awake as room near to wedding recetion which started late in evening and music and fireworks passed midnight. Could see people in teception.. could do with voiles as they could see into our room. Train line behind hotel not too noisy

This hotel is very dated, was probably lovely in its day. The room was large, but the decor was stuck in the 90s. The leisure facilities were nice, but again needs some TLC. The bar and restaurant where excellent, and if the hotel had a revamp to bring it in keeping with the restaurant it would be amazing.

Nice rooms, no power supply next to the bed so a but bad for when you use your phone as an alarm. Rooms where cold upon arrival, had to turn all the radiators on, towel radiator wasn't working. Hotel was nice though other than the above

It has 2 off car park entrances. Not immediately obvious which one lead to the check in . I had the bad luck to have a duff key card. Twice staff had to leave their posts to help - eventually it was replaced (reprogrammed?)

We arrived very early, before the check in time as we knew we would have very little time to check in later on (we were at a nearby wedding)
