Housekeeping lady entered my room to clean while I’m inside with “Do not disturb “ on

Jo-an Palace was the perfect place to stay, within minutes from the bustling local town with hundreds of shops and a short walk from the beach. The room was made up beautifully and they set dinner for us in our rooms for when we arrived as our plane landed rather late. We ended every night at the bar with a few glasses of wine and I cannot thank the staff enough for being so kind to us, Chrissy especially was very welcoming and chatty. The pool is on the roof with beautiful views over the city. Breakfast and Dinner came with a vast array of options and a coffee machine which we were very grateful for! The only issue we had was the lift did get stuck for a couple minutes which did worry us a bit but eventually the doors did open!! There’s always bound to be something after all. Thank you to everyone at Jo-an palace for making our first trip abroad so wonderful.

Beautiful looking hotel recently refurbished. It is in a built up area no scenic views from your room. There is a roof top swimming pool with bar and loungers where there is scenic views. Room clean and fresh really appreciate the AC which is quite. Large fridge and safe in a cupboard. Towel and bath robes have clearly passed their use by date. Fraying edges on towels and holes in bath robes. Food breakfast, lunch and dinner is buffet style. although there is variety, hot food is warm. Tea coffee warm. I would suggest not to book all inclusive. There are lots of eateries within walking distance from the hotel where you can have authentic Cretan food and pizza etc. Directly opposite the entrance to the hotel across the road, there is a mini supermarket. (closed on Sunday's ). Staff friendly and accommodating. A few snags with my room ie bathroom door scraping on the floor making a loud noise when open/shutting, maintenance man fixed it within a couple of hours. 🤗 Website says kettle and tea/coffee facilities in room. That is not the case you have to request it when you arrive at the hotel. A lovely hotel to stay in. I would recommend and visit again.

Ante todo agradecer la atención de Eva, Gloria, Maria y la otra chica del restaurante... el personal, lo mejor. Habitación amplia, buen wifi, balcón. Piscina en la terraza con tumbonas. La comida del buffet un poco demasiado para el turista pero había opciones varias. Ubicación genial a 5 minutos de la ciudad vieja pero sin los ruidos e idas y venidas de turistas.

Sehr nette Mitarbeiter , unser Zimmer war schon ab 13 Uhr fertig . Frühstück war gut, aber einfach. Hotel ist 2 Min zu Fuss zur Innenstadt entfernt . Pool auf dem Dach sehr kalt , aber sehr schön mit dem Blick über Rethymno. Die Dusche im Bad hat eine zu kurze Duschwand, das Bad schwimmt im Anschluss an das Duschen . Unser Zimmer war leider zur Hauptstraße gelegen, extrem laut , man kann kaum schlafen bei offenem Fenster . Geschlossen ist es ok, aber viel zu stickig . Die Klimaanlage macht das Zimmer sehr kalt ., lässt sich leider nicht verstellen . Parplatzsuche ums Hotel eine Katastrophe, da braucht man viel Geduld und Zeit .

Centrally located, with a convenient pool on the top . Very friendly and professional reception.

Pool service was really slow and even basic drinks would take forever to arrive. Moreover, lower floor rooms are a bit noisy due to street below.
