Hotel was in a great location, lots of places to eat within walking distance and nice outlook over the river. Complimentary car park was a bonus. Pool was dirty and under maintenance which I suppose is to be expected during the winter months. Pigeons were making a mess and not bothered at all by the owl deterrant.

Asked for a non smoking room and the room didn't smell but there were butts and an ashtray on the table on the deck.

"Just Don't Stay There"

1.0

The only good things about this place was the afternoon/evening staff member - a young man who was pleasant and doing his job. The other good bit was the location, nice & centrally located, very close to the harbour walkway & central town amenities.

While my room was spacious the whole place looked nothing like the pictures on the website! It is very tired & run down with stained carpet and scuff marked walls & laminated signs on walls & doors. While there are stairs to get you to the first floor they don't tell you about them, just send you up in the dated glass elevator that just looks out over a very poorly maintained pool area. The pool was very unusable, yes it is/was winter but the whole pool area looked like it hadn't been used, maintained or cleaned for a very long time. The room itself was clean & tidy although half the lights in my room & the bathroom didn't work & there was a light fitting falling out of the roof above the shower. In the bathroom the shower tap cover was loose letting water flow in behind it & into the wall cavity - an even bigger problem later on. There was also a chunk of silicone missing from a tile in the shower area and the lack of a rubber seal on the bottom of the shower panel meant there was water all over the floor. There were 2 Air conditioning units outside my room and they were a constant noise clicking on & off all night - not a nice sound to have to listen to when sleeping, also at 3.30/4am there were noises of what sounded like an industrial sized washing machine on spin cycle doing its job right below my room. This particular room is not one that should be let out for people to stay in. Worst sleep ever.

Not much

I used to stay here awhile back and the restaurant and pools were open Everything was closed The pool was green and pigeons everywhere Gym closed . I was really disappointed. The hallways smelt really bad . Carpet in the room was an industrial grade carpet with no underlay Wouldn’t recommend or go back with its current state . Used to be a great place to stay and didn’t have to leave gym pools nd restaurants. What happened?
