"Christmas Holidays"

We're headed back to California for the holidays, and our first stop was the Hampton inn suites in San Antonio. Hotel was easy to locate off of the I-10 had to do a quick U-turn under the freeway. Room was very clean and well kept up. Got a good night's rest before a long drive in the morning hotel staff was kind and courteous overall noise level was very quiet. Reasonably priced good value for the dollar.

"Sleepless night...."

Location was easily accessible to the Medical center, shopping & restaurants. The coffee maker worked and didn't leak. Our breakfast was tasty and there was a good variety of food.

There was no luggage cart available to transport our bags to our room, so we carried them. The room we were given with 2 queen beds was on the 4th floor wasn't clean when we arrived. So we carried our bags back to 1st floor reservation desk. They "Upgraded" us to a 1st floor suite, but it had only 1 queen bed, not 2. Our stay went downhill from then. The hand soap wall dispenser in the watercloset bath was empty, my nightstand was sticky, (my jewelry stuck to it), the light in bathroom was flashing (going out). The refrigerator wasn't plugged in, and not working when it was. Few electric outlets to plug in electronics to recharge them. The 1outlet beside the bed was so worn that none of our electronic's chargers would stay plugged into it. The other outlet had bedside light plugged into it. There was only 1 working ice machine on the 2nd floor, not the 1st, 3rd or 4th . Several elevator trips up & down to 2nd floor to get ice. Last but not least, there were motorcycle drag races roaring throughout the night on the I-10 freeway beside the hotel, so it was a very sleepless night, in addition to the elephant traipsing around in the room above us.
