Ilsington Country House Hotel & Spa

Perfect hotel for a relaxing break in a beautiful area. All the staff are very friendly and efficient, the facilities are excellent and the food delicious. We will definitely visit again.

Had another relaxing stay at Ilsington. The food and service remain excellent. While the Spa and pool are as inviting as always. All the staff are friendly, efficient and helpful.

A really lovely hotel in a perfect location to access Dartmoor and the coast, very dog friendly with lottos exercise space for them, wonderful pool and spa area. Ate once in the restaurant and wasn't disappointed and breakfast was really good with a decent selection of made to order options.

Location was perfect for my mid week break, the room was on the small side but was well appointed and comfortable. Plenty of garden space to relax in and for the dog to have a run. Pool and spa were good. Ate once in the tiger inn and food was ok for the money, didn't use the restaurant though. Breakfast was good, a decent selection of options and cooked to order in the main.

Pool is a little shallow for laps at one end and the jacuzzi could have been warmer but I am nit picking as the spa is a massive plus for the hotel. I would say on balance its maybe 15% more expensive that I think its worth both for accommodation and food. Also with a pet you get charged extra twice! £20 room supplement then another £15 for the pet which seems off.

Lovely clean hotel, staff so friendly and welcoming. Loved the pool and spa. Lovely food from the restaurant.

Couldn’t fault our stay, was perfect!

Stayed for one night for a spa break. The spa and pool area is the nicest one I have seen in a hotel. The lounge and bar areas are nicely decorated and full of character. We ate in the restaurant, the food was okay but nothing special. Breakfast was about the same standard as dinner. The bedroom was good overall, the bathroom being the highlight with the massive bath. We had a twin deluxe, I do feel for the price the bed frame and headboards were a bit tired and in need of replacement. The outside of the windows were quite dirty. However good refreshments were available in the room. The staff were all excellent, very professional and helpful. Location good, but you need to drive to access any walks.

The Islington has a chilled environment. Every member of staff is focused on making you feel really at home. The high standard of service lets you leave the world at the door and just relax and recharge.

The staff were really very friendly, helpful & courteous, nothing was too much trouble. The service outstanding. Loved the spa facilities. The food was fabulous, varied tasty menus & all efficiently served. The location is perfect for a Dartmoor stay in this cosy family run hotel. Will look forward to a return visit.
