Colonel's Suites

Clean, spacious suite. Great location. We really enjoyed the stay and, of course, the lobster dinner downstairs. My only complaint is that breakfast starts at 8am, which is a little late for those who prefer heading out early to the park.

My family and I stayed at Colonel's Suites one night. It is an exceptional value. The hotel is close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. I expected a continental breakfast on by be given a sit down and order from a menue of options with breakfast made to order. The room was clean, updated and spacious. The staff was friendly, courteous and accomodating. Great stay, will do it again.

The room was wonderful. The resturant was clean and had excellant food. The staff was friendly. Would recommend this place to everyone. The evenings in the room was very quiet and relaxing.

We chose to stay here for a week because it was on the "quiet side" of MDI. The room was very clean and recently updated, the breakfast included table service each morning, and friendly staff. No complaints at all.

Nice suite type rooms. very convenient

The room I stayed in is basically a one bedroom apartment with a living room and TV and a bedroom with a TV. Everything seemed new inside the room. Since the facility appears to be independently owned, there were a few things that most hotels provide that this one bedroom apartment didn't. In particular there was no desk and chair for setting up and using my laptop. I had to bend and use the coffee table. The location, Northeast Harbor, is very quiet (unlike the lively and more populated Bar Harbor). However, being on Desert Island, it was a pleasant 10 minute drive to Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park I felt connected to the Island. The time I visited (mid October) appears to be off-season and the downstairs bakery that is associated with this facility was closed. For breakfast I walked down the block to a gas station that provided bacon, egg, & cheese sandwiches.

We were in town for the MDI Marathon. Great location, very clean, and updated. It is the off season so the hotel was kind of in self serve mode, but that really didn't bother me. Also the doors are extremely squeaky and we had a 1 year old with us so that lead to a few "episodes" while sleeping. Overall good experience, just next time I may bring WD40. If you plan on running the MDI it is a good location because it is mid way between the start and finish. Also the half marathon starts just a block behind the hotel.

A nice town somewhat off the beaten path. Lovely bakery with delicious is part of this stay:)

Had a lovely time visiting the island. The Colonel was very clean and quiet. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful. Would love to stay there again.
