Serenity Island Resort

The room was spotless and really comfortable. The place was a paradise.

The only thing I can say is that the staff wasn’t very helpful when you needed. I had to ask them twice for whatever and they need more organisation for meals and restock everything.

Un excellent rapport qualité-prix avec une chambre idyllique en bord de mer. Cet hôtel est un îlot de tranquillité tout près de l’île principale, très facilement accessible. Personnel toujours souriant et aux petits soins.

Si on cherche absolument un bémol : la nourriture pourrait être un peu plus diversifiée et riche en légumes

Meals - quite pricey for the quality available. The information provided in my

Serenity island lives up to its name, and was everything I was looking for I a much needed week away from the bustle of daily life. Beachfront Bure, simple tasty food, fish filled coral reef meters from your door, genuinely warm and welcoming staff, memory-making adventures (sea snorkeling, night fishing, basket weaving!), and eclectic guests from across the world. The island sells itself and the people seal the deal. For those who like an authentic non-commercial island experience. Pristine beaches and coral (no rubbish on beaches) and an authentic island experience. I will definitely be back.

If you are seeking a swish and sparkly, luxury style resort with all the trimmings, this beautiful and authentic island is not for you. The soft and welcoming culture runs on ‘Fiji-time’. Be prepared for some stock shortages, delays and rustic charm - without a wharf or jetty it’s a two boat (speed or ferry, then tender) to put feet onto sand, and all supplies travel the same route, large boxes of supplies hoiked from boat to shore by a chain of muscled staff. Basic supplies are augmented by fresh fish from the sea, and an abundance of local eggs, rice and fruit. For me, this is part of the island’s charm. So much potential for improved services, and some tightening of services and procedures would certainly increase the island’s appeal to a broader market, but I caution against it eroding the islands genuine serenity. Bring your snorkel and goggles, heavy bug spray and sunscreen and maybe some snacks. Be aware that the boat/s leave from TWO distinctly different and far away ports - Denarau and Vuda. Make sure you know where you are leaving from as it’s a long drive and expensive ($100 FJD min) taxi between them. With limited services to island it’s easy to get caught out.

La isla es preciosa y los buró con vista al mar están muy bien , abrir la ventana y ver la playa están impresionante . Solo dos pasos nos separaban de la arena . El personal es amoroso y alegre . Tratan de solucionar todo lo que pueden. Ojalá recuperen el hotel porque el lugar , la isla y sus puestas de sol son increíbles .

Las áreas comunes del hotel están muy descuidadas, los deck rotos de las pasarelas y de la pileta . Falta muchísimo mantenimiento, en las reposeras y los baños comunes de pileta . La oferta gastronómica para mi que soy vegetariana fue escasa , mi marido dice que comió rico.

Staff were lovely

Tv didn’t work, fan had one speed - (flat out), air conditioning remote didn’t work - very loud and very cold. Towels frayed and holes in them. Peeling tops on bathroom vanity, chipped cups and saucers.

Good food (although I didn’t have breakfast), very nice bungalows right on the beach, helpful and friendly staff, and a very peaceful, serene atmosphere. The internet worked great.

It would have been good to have more choices of dishes, even simple ones.

Staff was incredible friendly and tried to make the stay more than pleasant.

The food is average to not particularly good. The organization of transport lacks reliability.
