Tulip Inn Honfleur Residence

Hotel situated .9km from Honfleur harbour. Plentiful parking so driving in and out easy. Always parking in parking stations around harbour. Hotel room equipped with cooking facilities/fridge/microwave. There are also laundry facilities however our experience with the dryers was problematic. Our room opened onto terrace with sun lounges/small table & chairs. A very comfortable room with space to move about in for a slightly longer stay. We found reception staff very helpful.

We stayed Friday and Saturday night in a double room at the front of the hotel, we had a small kitchenette and a small balcony with 2 chairs and a table. There is a Lidl just across the road, so we got a bottle of wine and sat on our balcony in the early evening and enjoyed the view of the huge Pont de Normandy bridge. If you cross the road and walk past Lidl towards the river, you can walk along the rivers edge all the way into town. (about 20 minutes stroll) Honfleur is beautiful with a lot of exceptional restaurants. We had breakfast in the hotel both mornings, bacon. scrambled eggs, fresh rolls, pastries, pancakes, juice, coffee and much more. It was continually topped up by the friendly staff. We had booked through Expedia and had paid in advance, so when we checked out we just had the visitor tax to pay. Great hotel, just out of town, free parking on site. there is also an outside swimming pool. A steam room and sauna - So its perfect for a couple of days away!

The rooms are very nice,large and very well equipped with a little kitchen with fridge,microwave,kettle,coffee maker 2 hot plates and a sink.There is a plentiful supply of crockery,cutlery and glassware as well as saucepans and utensils etc.Our balcony with table and 2 chairs overlooked the garden and heated swimming pool which was very nice.Unfortunately there is no air conditioning and while we were there it was exceptionally hot even with the french doors open all night.It was beautifully clean as was the bedding,again unfortunately the bed was not comfortable for us but could suit others.Although there is free wi-fi we could not receive it in our room only in the lobby.Breakfast was continental with added scrambled egg and bacon,all in plentiful supply,some fresh fruit salad would have been an added bonus as is usual with continental breakfast at other hotels but was missing here.Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come again.

It is important to recognize that the office pf these types of hotels is closed after 6pm...if you expect to arrive late it is important to call in advanve to get the necessary codes to enter both the building and the unit. Yhe facilities are fine...but it was hard to find the hotel itself as the sign was not obvious if you are approaching from the south. It is about a 20 minute walk into Honfleur which is a fabulous town well worth a minimum of two days to fully enjoy. Lots of tourists...but licala too....excellent seafood!

It was an "ok" stay. The hotel is a little far from downtown. It's not a problem if you have a car. The helpdesk closes at 7 pm. Be aware of the time of your check-in. I arrived late at night and it was a mess to enter. The room is great, the staff is very friendly, even speaking only a few words in English.

Very enjoyable.

Great time exploring and visiting all of the local sites

he location was perfect. We were a bit offput by the fact that there was no one at the front desk yet the main door was accessible to anyone who happened to walk in off the street. The front desk is maintained only a few hours per day.
