Grand Riviera Princess - All Inclusive

I stayed at this hotel for a 6 days, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The food was the biggest letdown — they served the same dishes every single day with no variety or options to choose from. The à la carte restaurant was no better; the quality of the food was very poor. In terms of activities, there was nothing much offered. The only things to do at the hotel were to swim in the pool or the beach. It quickly became boring and repetitive. If you plan to stay here, I highly recommend booking tours outside the hotel so you can at least try different food and have something else to do. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place for a long stay. Imagine spending a whole week eating the same food every day with no entertainment — definitely not worth it.

We chose this hotel for its convenient location near Chichen Itza, Xcaret, and other tour destinations. One of the highlights was not having to wake up extremely early for pickups, which made excursions much more enjoyable. However, several aspects of our stay were disappointing: • Dining: The buffet offered the same food daily, which quickly became repetitive. Mama Mia restaurant was average, while the other à la carte restaurants were below expectations. • Entertainment: The sports bar lacked atmosphere, and the billiard tables were in poor condition. The daily shows felt under-rehearsed, with the exception of the Human Neon and Pop Band performances, which stood out positively. • Activities: Options were limited, especially since the Sunset area was under renovation. Children’s activities were restricted to the Princess Club, which requires membership. • Spa Promotion: The advertised “free spa for two” was misleading. On arrival, we were directed to staff who pushed a timeshare presentation. We were told the spa was “subject to availability,” but if we attended the timeshare meeting, it became “guaranteed.” This approach felt deceptive. • Security & Privacy: Our parents returned from a tour to find their luggage padlock broken, though thankfully nothing was missing. Additionally, housekeeping entered our room despite a “Do Not Disturb” sign being placed on the door.

The property was nice, needs some updating in areas, but they’re working on it. It’s a little far from the airport, about 45 min drive. The food is ok, not terrible, but not great. But the staff is awesome, everyone was happy and helpful. My husband and I had a great time.

A lot of the hotel was under construction

Good Did not go. Limited accessibility. Website said , in door pool but never exist. Some front desk staff should ne assigned at other departments. Non welcoming, like you want to go home already. Bad experience with the front desk and concierge. Won’t come back here.

Loved the spa. We went durning off season, but the pool staff was very limited. Even tipping didnt see the staff often. I gave a lower rating for the condition of the resort, but am aware they are currently remodling. Over all we love this resort!
