"Eclectic gem!"

10.0

Amazing attention to detail! Took lots of pictures but they don't do everything going on justice! Great art and sculptures! Unique décor in every room! Exotic birds and lush tropical! Glad to see that there is no street sign and you must be staying there for entry - safe and quiet.

"Enchanting Old World paradise!"

10.0

This was an amazing place to stay full of sculptures, art, plants and antiques. It was like staying in an art gallery but set in another time in history. The proprietors were friendly and enchanting. Wonderful location within walking distance to everything Old San Juan has to offer. We will definitely stay there again!

"Old charm but not for price"

6.0

Very difficult to get to. Don't stay here if you have trouble with walking on uneven paths. We were given a different room than we booked, and stayed at the top of a very steep, narrow, spiral staircase. Charming old world, but not worth $300 a night. Didn't even include the continental breakfast.

"Lots to like here...except my room"

6.0

This hotel is fun and funky with a great open roof courtyard. The furnishings are creative and old world at the same time. My room - the Garden - however had no windows to the outdoors and was exceedingly musty. I'd ask carefully about the room you are going to be staying in before booking. I assume the other rooms are better, but I don't know for sure. They told me everything else was booked.

"One night stay max, not intended for longer"

6.0

Booked for 7 nights/8days for our 25th anniversary. Not a place I would stay a full week, perhaps just 1-2 nights max. Great for history and beautiful building but not that great if you want a quiet, restful time. Pictures need to be updated because they don't serve dinner/no dining room. Breakfast is cold cereal and toasted bread, unless you pay $10 to have eggs cooked. No hot water (luke warm if your lucky for your shower), room we stayed in had 2 bathrooms but only one shower worked. Last night we stayed we were swarmed with termites in our bed, so we left next day (1 day before our reservation was done) no sorry from them. AND her birds kept us up til 3 in the morning EVERY NIGHT! So no sleep for us ((sigh)). Alot of art/history but that's about it. Needs more work done to the place, I like charm and rustic but not something ran down unkept. From a builders standpoint there were alot of things we saw that needed attention. And there is no beach access.

"Magical"

10.0

From the moment we walked in through the gates until the time we left, we were absolutely mesmerized! Everywhere you look there is beautiful art, plants, stonework and more. This is not your average lodging. All staff members were all so helpful with anything we needed. My husband and I loved wandering through the Inn looking at the art, personal photographs, wall hangings and furnishings. I don't know when I have ever been in a more relaxing and beautiful place. The bed was so comfortable and we slept so soundly. The room was nicely furnished. Our room was very small with no window, (which we expected when we booked), but we weren't there to sit in our room. Other rooms were very spacious and beautiful.

only exception for a perfect stay was that my room was not cleaned at the last day.

"Good"

6.0

It was fine, the hotel has a funky vibe to it and it's very centrally located in Old San Juan. It wasn't the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in and the bathroom was absolutely tiny. But the location was nice and the staff was friendly.

"Higher Hopes"

6.0

Boutique hotel filled with artwork in every nook and cranny. Our room had no windows and no place to put luggage. Can't understand why they charge as much as they do for that room.

"Amazing Boutique Hotel"

8.0

The staff at this hotel are wonderful. Super helpful and willing to help you figure out what to do or where to go to view the island. They will call a taxi for you or map out a walking/bus route. Our room was tiny, but we didn't spend a lot of time in it. There are many larger rooms within the hotel. You can walk throughout the building freely and see all the wonderful art. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is able to walk easily without assistance. Not recommended for those with walking disabilities. Too many steps and uneven flooring. I hope to go back again some day.
