The Gallery Inn

I almost didn’t want to stay here because parking is limited, but the owner is a magnificent classy lady and she made me feel as family and as a close friend. Best inn of any of my around the world travels!

The walls were in poor condition, the paint was peeling and some was in fresh concrete with no paint. All of the furnishings were in need of updating. I did not have a television in my room. The price of the room was Doubled for the Value.

The Gallery Inn is an older hotel with limited services, good for a one night business trip. Due to the recovery of Hurricanes Maria and Irma hotel was working with a generator, no hot water. Staff were excellent!

Great stay Great location Friendly staff We would do it again without question

We recently stayed here on our 3rd visit to Old San Juan. I found the property overall disappointing. I expected old and quirky form the other reviews but not filthy showers that hadn't been properly cleaned for a long time, or dead bugs in the room, musty smells, room doors than don't properly lock and a pool that I feared to get in due to lack of maintenance. I can overlook the birds pooping in the lobby but I need a clean bathroom. It has it's charm and some of the more expensive rooms looked nice (doors open everywhere! you could easily walk in someone's room accidently) The art, sculpture, plants, birds were fascinating. The front desk was extremely helpful and gracious and the beds were very comfortable. I hate to give them a bad review but I personally would not stay here again. I felt dirty the whole time I was here and didn't want to touch anything in the bedroom or bathroom. There are just better choices.

I visit San Juan on a regular basis and Galleria is my favorite hotel there. I love the art, the gardens, the exotic birds, delicious wine, VERY comfortable bed, and the piano bar serenades plus the views of the Atlantic. Great place!

It was just like staying at someone's home rather than a hotel. Loved the interiors, flora and fauna. We had a very comfortable stay at The Gallery Inn. Breakfast was good (we are vegetarians) , loved the gauva jam. We will definitely stay here if we visit San Juan again. We recommend this hotel to anyone visiting old San Juan and expecting an authentic homely atmosphere. This place is close to major tourist attractions in old city.

It was a great hotel location, staff very friendly and lots to see in the hotel and surrounding area. We got lots of good recommendations of where to eat and go buy the stuff there but it was great. We are planning on going again and staying there in one of the pick your rooms after seeing how nice the layouts and views are of each room .

Property had old world antique furniture and made you feel like you were staying in a 17th century property. Add 12 + foot ceilings and old doors and great views
