A lovely estate on Loch Etive, Blarcreen House was made for relaxing. Shawn was a perfect host, providing insights into places to see and an eat in nearby Oban. The room was spacious, the bed big, the associated private bathroom/sitting room was large, and all exceptionally clean. The views from our 2nd story room were wonderful. Breakfast was generous and excellent. And the nights are quiet and dark. We found it a place to get away from it all before driving to Glasgow for the return trip home. One thing: search for Blarcreen House on Google Maps, rather than the postal code (Ardchattan, Oban PA37 1RG GB). That took us to a lovely house and woman who graciously directed us to Blarcreen House, about 0.5 miles away...

If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, romantic and luxury place to stay, this is the accomodation for you. Somewhere in the middle of Scotland (haha) you will find Blarcreen house, a large property with pristine country views (driving the road to get there is a treat). Sian and her husband were extremely welcoming which allowed us to settle in nicely. We got recommendations for dinner and were left to relax in our HUGE room with amazing views of the countryside and loch. Unfortunately we only booked for one night, but cannot recommend this place enough for those who want to relax, rewind and escape from the hustle and bustle of large cities.

the blarcreen house was very nice. we met other guests and went out to dinner with them. It is out in the countryside so you do need a car to get there.
Absolutely amazing. The drive there, the house itself, the room, the views, the breakfast, the hospitality, even the most friendly sheepdog you can imagine. Stay here if you can.
The proprietors are wonderful people and do everything they can to make your stay exceptional. I'm ready to go back for another visit!
Great place. Beautiful area, nice rooms. Breakfast was good too. Uow but worth it. Would definitely go back! Go to the Creagan Inn for dinner.
