Paskins Townhouse

The website of Paskins state that it is bed and breakfast but the desk person told me that there is no breakfast included. That was disappointing because I saw dinning room pictures and I was happy about it. It will be good if Paskins clearly indicate on theirs and Hotel.com site that who will get the breakfast and who will not. I felt being as correct information was not provided.

Don’t expect anything beyond a clean small room to sleep. If you are aligned with this view, this is the right place. No service, no breakfast, good location.

Staff were very friendly and gave us fresh towels every day

The staff was really nice, she help us to take the luggage upstairs. Also think that is very nice of them to provide de-caf drinks.

The room was much smaller than I had expected, but it seemed decent enough to stay in and fortunately, it wasn't far up the flight of stairs. I certainly wouldn't staying there again during my next trip to Brighton

Lovely boutique hotel very clean and well kept!! Location is idea for a quick walk to the centre of Brighton.

Can’t fault it.

Massively disappointing, we went for my wifes 40, scaffolding covering the front of the building, could have been advertised pre arrival as the first impression was a real let down. The pictures on the website and Hotels.com's website are from a time gone bye, very misleading. Our room was quite dark even with the lights on, and very cold at night. My wife had to get up in the middle of the night to put more layers on. The biggest issue we had was the fact that the blind in the bathroom was see through, i went in the bathroom, when it was dark out, and the blind was down, i could see clearly into the property oppersite, and make out all the features within the room, and i could see theirs they could see us. I went out side and looked up at our window and could clearly see the shower head through the blind. And the shower is directly in front of the window, i had to prop up my dressing gown on the window so my wife could use the toilet with out feeling vulnerable. The next morning i relayed these issues to the staff, i was told that the heating should stay on all night and someone must have turned it off by mistake. And that i must be wrong regarding the blind, i assured them i was not. On our return that evening a bedsheet had been propped up against the blind to cover the window. We also had men on our balcony painting so privacy was not what we received. After complaining i am being given a 20% refund, but not 20% of what i paid, 20% of what they received from Hotels.com.

Great place, has that feel that the owner really cares about the place and about how you enjoy your stay, definitely has the personal touch. I really enjoyed my stay.

I used to love staying here great breakfast well maintained and clean. Sadly now no breakfast from the ripped curtains to poorly fitting windows and sealing and grouting it felt neglected. Blinds and windowsills were dirty
