Elim Bank Guest House

The guest house is in a great location, just a 5–7 minute walk from the main centre, which is very convenient. The room was a decent size, clean, and comfortable for a short stay.

The breakfast was quite basic with limited options (bread, butter, jam, cereal, fruit, and hot drinks) and no cooked items like eggs or beans, with only packaged pastries available. The shower water pressure was very poor, making it difficult to use properly, and the bathroom/room ventilation was not ideal. The single-glazed windows also mean it can get quite cold in winter.

Beautiful older building in which current owners have retained many of the traditional features of the house. Our room and the whole building were spotlessly clean and well maintained. It was lovely and warm, and everything you could think of was provided both in our room and in the dining room. Hosts Helen and Darren were very welcoming, and ensured that we had all the information required to make the most of our stay. Breakfast was continental and the food provided was delicious and of good quality, including home prepared greek yoghurt and fruit and berries compot! We loved that we could choose our own breakfast time, up to 10 o'clock in the morning! The guest house is conveniently located at the top of the main street in Bowness. We will definitely stay again!

It is quite a steep bank up to the guest house from Bowness centre. This was fine for us, but maybe something to bear in mind for older or less able guests.

Breakfast was good , good selection of continental breakfast.and location close to bay and walking distance to all the amenities. Excellent location. Free car parking is bonus point for travelers who travel by car .

May be floor carpet need to change .

EVERYTHING! BEING A QUEST HOUSE I WAS JUST HOPING FOR A CLEAN COMFORTABLE BED. IT WENT BEYOND THIS. THE ROOM WAS VERY COMFORTABLE. EXCEAPTIONAL CLEAN AND HAD LOTS OF EXTRAS, INCLUDING A SAFETY MAT FOR STYLING APPLIENCES. LOTS OF DRINK INCLUDING BOTTLED WATER AND SQUASH TO DIALUTE. Although only basic breafast ( no cooked) there was cereal, pancakes, waffles and fresh fruit. It was ample. Great stay will definatley stay here again

Beds comfy, we got room with the bath, features, nice red colour everywhere, plenty of coffee, milk, good breakfast, super location, free parking, nice lady looking after us
