"A good hotel, shame about some of the guests."

8.0

Rather than a long review (it will still be long) I’m going to list pros and cons. Pros: **Quick and easy check in by a lovely very helpful young lady. We even got our room early. **Clean room, plenty of storage space, but take some extra clothes hangers if you’re there for more than a few days. **Bathroom was fine. Hand soap, shampoo and body wash provided. **Housekeeping was efficient and friendly. **The dining restaurant had plenty of food options. Fish, meat, pasta, chips, salads, veg, cold meats, cheese. There’s also a bar, self serve water, coffee, tea and fizzy/still drinks for the kiddies **The bar area is spacious and the bar staff work very hard and are friendly. **The snack bar is great for toasties and chips. **pool area is big and we never struggled to get a sun lounger. The pool bar has self serve coffee and water along with the usual range of alcoholic drinks. **The animacion team have the patience of saints (also see cons) Cons: **The rooms have very thin walls and noise can be heard in the early hours (running in corridors and doors slamming). Didn’t bother me too much as I wear ear plugs **The dinning area can get noisy with overly loud music at times. **The animacion team while good, seem to whip the kiddies up into a frenzy by the pool. Then go for a break. We (myself and my friend) actually witnessed the team encouraging other team members and the kiddies to push each other into the pool. We then saw a child slip and first aid being administered. **The bar area was very noisy at the beginning of our stay. Drunk adults just left their children to run around screaming. What concerned us is the amount of unsupervised small children running around the pool area on an evening. We later found out there had been several complaints about this. To sum it up, this is a lovely hotel that was spoilt by a drunken minority along with lack of consideration from other guests. We felt sorry for the amazing staff, who at times just looked beaten by some of the antics of the guests.

"Fantastic"

10.0

We loved our holiday at coral beach. I know they had troubles last year with water but don't judge this hotel because of it. Maria and the team looked after us so well. Perfectly clean, friendly staff and they work so hard. Always something to eat and the snack bar does the best toasties. The chef is brilliant. Pool and area is perfect with loads of sunbeds and parasols. Es cana is perfect. Beaches 200m away or up to cala nova , 10 min walk. Plenty of pubs and restaurants with in walking distance. Resort is ideal for couples and families. Freddy and Julie's is a hidden bar behind the main road if you want an English experience. Frozen glasses are a must and a good breakfast. You can hire a car from round 60euros for the day if you want to explore the island. We went on the catamaran trip, AMAZING. Again, Coral beach is a fantastic hotel for the price , located perfectly in Es cana

"Excellent experience."

10.0

I Wasn't expecting much for the price I paid but at least if the food was rubbish it was near a town with a lot of restaurants. The room was spotless and cleaned every day to a great standard The staff were all fantastic, I've had worse service in upmarket hotels. The staff are hard working and the service was always excellent The food was locally sourced and the buffet type dining was excellent. Everything is made and cooked in front of you. Be warned though, this is Mediterranean food, lots of fresh fruit and veg and salad with cooked meats and fish. I thought it was really good, fresh and healthy and very little beige food. The all inclusive drinks were great too, excellent choice of wines and a good draft beer. Plenty of spirits and mixers on offer as well as soft drinks. Locally there are some lovely spots to visit and a bus stop outside with trips in to the capital for 8 Euros. The staff made this trip a pleasure and certainly exceeded my expectations, still can't believe how hard they were working. I would certainly go again as the all inclusive price couldn't be beaten.

"Beautiful island but a terrible hotel. Staff great but hotel is dilapidated, tired, old and smelly. Bare basics only."

4.0

The hotel was in a poor state of repair, dated and very tired looking. Not really what people expect in 2024. The double room for three people just means three beds crammed into a room meant for two! Not enough storage space, bedside tables or walking room. You tripped over each other. Balcony had one table and two chairs only. It was wobbly and no clothes hanger/line provided to dry towels or clothes. Air.con was a centralised system (this means it’s not a separate air con unit working in each room) Also I think it’s code for once it fails - everyone’s fails!! It was controlled by an analog thermostat - so no numbers on display. The cover fell off! There were no instructions and it failed on a few occasions during the night. No indication of what it was doing or the temperatures reached/set. A very antiquated system. The bathroom had the toilet wedged in a corner with the bath pillar in front. This meant you had to sit on it at an angle as there wasn’t enough room for it. The shower/bath has rusted fittings and hard water water blue/green stains. The water constantly alternated between warm, Dangerously hot and cold as you showered. It was dangerous at times - kids beware. The basin had a nozzle spray that had one setting only - spray everything within a metre with water!! It was either full on bouncing water everywhere or off! The hotels downstairs urinals were closed off and overflowing with urine. It was rank. Regular wafts of sewerage smells throughout the day and a constant buzzing from nearby power cables. The loud ‘Bwaps’ of mopeds through the night will keep you awake through the thinnest of patio/balcony windows or if you manage to filter that out and catch some sleep, watch out for the earth rumbling slams of peoples doors as they come and go. No doors have closers fitted. Trust me. You’ll appreciate these luxuries you used to take for granted after staying here. No fridges in rooms but someone helpfully dumped one in the corridor for a few days!! 😂 No kettle or drinking water either. If you have the audacity to ask for water as part of your all-inclusive you’ll be told you can have 2 cups at a time of the desalinated water available from the restaurant or pool bar. There’s a reason no one drinks the stuff. Even the staff steer well clear. It’s disgusting. Expect to buy yourself bottles of water and stash in the room. They don’t allow you to fill water flask/bottles. The food was very hit and miss. So take this into account if you have anyone that is a fussy eater. They’ll be going hungry!! - they had a wide selection with varying standards. But the cakes and ice-creams were nice. The pool is very busy and not enough loungers/parasols for guests. Don’t forget, the beds are reserved with the universal currently of Brits abroad - ‘towels’!! - they queue from 8 am to place them. Up until that time, I kid you not; the doors to the pool are locked with a huge chain and padlock. Amazing scenes. The staff are helpful, amazing and worth bigging up. They keep the place running well and things are mostly spotless. The rooms are cleaned daily and towels always provided when you need them. To sum up the stay - if you pay 2024 prices you shouldn’t expect 1994 standards. The hotel has such little investment it’s plain to see what the priority is here. Profit. Profit. Profit. Whatever your expectations - lower them a little and you’ll be much happier.

"Good for the price"

8.0

Stayed here in September with my Mum and 10m old daughter. Hotel rooms were basic but clean and we had a nice view of the pool. Food was ok, not out of this world but good for what I was expecting from a 3* all inclusive hotel. I’m vegan and the staff were really helpful in confirming which dishes had allergens / non-vegan items in. There were a few people complaining about food but not sure what they expected for the price! We visited the Hippy Market and LOVED it!

Liked the food & drink choices. Hotel provides snacks ( sandwich, burgers, french fries) in addition to breakfast, lunch, & dinner. Pool area tanning chairs need daily proper cleaning due to many customers.

"Not worth the money paid, very disappointing! "

4.0

I wanted a double room for me and my partner, as part of this we wanted a double bed, however the cheapest room available only came with two single beds, the cheapest room I could find was advertised as a double bed and a single twin, so I booked this so we could stay in the same bed, it cost an extra £50 per night, we were only staying for one night. When we got to our room we had been given three twin beds, two of which were pushed together, this was not what was advertised. When I questioned this with reception they advised all their double beds were singles pushed together, so essentially not double beds at all. I advised the reception I had specifically paid more to get a double bed based on how they advertised the rooms on Hotels.com, they weren’t really interested and there’s was nothing they could or wanted to do about this. It was very frustrating having paid quite a lot extra for something we didn’t get, essentially false advertising. The hotel itself is very dated, the decor is a throwback from the 1980’s/1990’s, the carpets in the communal corridors are in much need of replacement / a good deep clean along with the furniture in the rooms. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel based on their advertising of how rooms are made up and their unwillingness to seem even remotely interested / bothered that having paid for a double bed we got three singles.
