The Ahwahnee

The staff at the Ahwahnee are excellent. They were very friendly and accommodating with whatever we needed.

Its Location

No power all day for two days due to building work we were not told beforehand Therefore hotel was dark with no heating , shops shut, no food, no pool, cold dark bedroom , no internet/ wifi , TV. The evening meal was very disappointing. It was a buffet. Nothing was hot. Same menu for 3 nights running. Dishes not replaced or refreshed so it looked tired and unappealing We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a month long road trip .by far the worst hotel , service, staff attitude of the eight hotels so far this trip.

It’s a beautiful historical building in need of some overdue renovation.

The property and staff is wonderful, the only issue we had in not having power for two days from 8-5!

Beautiful building set in an astoundingly beautiful park

We were not informed until we arrived that the electricity would be turned off 8am-4pm. Only buffet service in dining room. Friends of ours were locked in their cottage due to malfunctioning key, had to exit thru window, and as a consequence arrived for breakfast at 9:10am. Staff refused to find them any breakfast because breakfast only served till 9am.

Nice, quiet hotel with a lot of history to it.

The restroom for men near the restaurant dining room was not hadicapped accessible as the square button to open the door was inoperative. Over the years we have stayed, but never encountered this problem, now wondering if our friend will return with us.

The room does not correspond to the price, very bad repair condition, the plaster on the walls is crumbling and not painted, the sink is cracked, the bed is scratched and in terrible condition. Very bad soundproofing, I can hear the neighbors what they are doing behind the door.

Stayed in a cottage. Amazing views. The hotel was totally awesome! By far best place to stay in Yosemite park.

Did not like forced valet parking
