The property was beautiful as was the lodge.

Construction, but we were warned.

Elegant historic hotel, with lovely sitting areas on the main level that have views of Half Dome and other wonders. Lovely rooms. Dining room offers a dinner buffet that is not to be missed.

Loved it!

Horrible room stained old carpeting. View was of the back service area. Rude front desk manager who would not help. Told us to book directly with them next time. Suggested we needed to buy a room directly from them and forfeit our previous reservation.

paid $390. there was no mention at booking.com that the bar/restaurant were not open until 5pm and that we could only get the buffet for dinner and breakfast … because we didn’t want a big meal we ate in the bar and ordered ribs(good but at 38 for 4 ribs was expensive .. prawns .. terrible…. chicken sandwich - very good.. but no french fries and very limited menu… pool was closed due to chemical imbalance (we have a pool at home and all this means was someone was not doing their job and pool could have opened in very short order) they should have offered a discount for having so many of their services not available .. our room was on a floor that was being renovated and had a strong smell of damp drywall..

staffs attitude was very poor

It’s a magical place. We felt like we stepped back in time. Beautiful facility, majestic surroundings. Absolutely loved everything about our stay. Thank you. We’ll be back.
