Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore Inner Harbor by IHG

Very convenient to the concert we went to at the arena. We were able to get snacks in the lobby afterwards and order DoorDash late night. Dunkin' Donuts was across the street for morning breakfast. The wine happy hour is a huge bonus and coffee/tea in the morning. Our room was big and the bed was comfortable. It was easy to get to and easy to navigate leaving the city. Valet was quick and easy too, right out front. I would definitely recommend.

It’s not readily mentioned but the Hotel is located in the former HQ Bldg of the Historic Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. Half of the building is occupied by the hotel and the remaining half by office buildings. The rooms were nicely appointed and the staff was helpful. If there was a reason to be in Baltimore I’d happily consider staying again at my member discounted Expedia price.

The service was ok in the beginning. Pre- paying for parking was a great option. The room was short towels, it took multiple requests and trip to the front desk to get them. No hair dryer or trash can in the bathroom. Limited food options on property, not safe to travel around property at night.

Came here for a weekend trip I pain over 1k for two nights reserves a king bed with a nice bathtub. When I checked in they gave me two queen beds and regular bathroom not to mention the safe didn’t work. When I went to the desk to request what I had paid for they had no explanation and none of them were able to help they requested I wait til the morning to talk to a manager. I was frustrated for all the money I felt I wasted. The hotel is right DT which had a lot of homelessness and crime I wish I would have done more research I feel like I wasted so much money. I didn’t even stay but that one night I left and never came back. Would not recommend would never return please educated your staff to be more helpful or perhaps have a on call manager for situations like this!!!

The hotel overall wasn't bad. It was a good stay. I was informed that the hotel was renovated. I think you do see that when you enter the room. However, I think they meant to say that just the sleeping area was updated. My bathroom was a bit dated and there was a large crack in the sink. Also, the shower tile was very dirty. My friends who were staying in other rooms had AC issues, lock issues and doors issues. I didn't have that but I did have a issue where my curtian didn't close all the way. When the sun came in the morning it hit my face. The little market they have was not impressive. It was half empty and it was really hot for some reason. The signage around the hotel was very small and the elevators need to be looked at. We were taking the elevator and the door opened while it was still moving. That was a funny nervous laugh. Its not far from the inner harbor but if you want to eat something on the weekend. Good luck. The restaurants accross the street are closed. However, the restaurant had good food, the valet staff was awesome and the rooms were clean. It wasn't a bad stay but there were some marks that it missed. I think that they can only improve from here.

This hotel is amazing. Very friendly, in a great location, and had no problems. My dog came with me and they did not give me a hard time or make me feel judged like other hotels have. Great walking distance, had complimentary wine hour and tea/coffee. 10/10 stay all around. We will be returning upon ventures in Bmore area!

I lions this hotel and I have stayed here a few times before. It’s clean and beautiful. The staff are friendly and accommodating.

Are you wondering why a recently renovated hotel, close to the inner harbor is rated as good rather than excellent? The answer in one word service! There isn't much here. I waited close to 3 hours for my room. Not just me. You know the hotel has issues when guests are sleeping on couches in the lobby, just like at an airport. Granted I arrived early, but this is the first time, and I travel a lot, that a hotel has been so inept that they could not accommodate an early check in request for nearly 3 hours. 30 minute wait, sure. One hour, okay I get it. But 3 hours? Come on. At that point, it's not me, it's you and something is wrong with your housekeeping. If you want that 5 star or to move from good to excellent, you need better people in housekeeping and at the front desk. You need to be able to accommodate early check in requests, especially for loyalty members. Thanks Kimpton for making me late to a surprise birthday party and ruining the surprise. BTW, it is now 4 pm (official check in time) and there's still no room or an estimate of how long it will take until I get a room.
