Railay Princess Resort & Spa

We were accused of stealing a can opener that was never in the room.... Unbelievable! Very bad service. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone. Besides the poor hygiene of the bathrooms and the rotten smell coming from the septic tanks.....

We paid over the odds for this as a last minute decision to visit Railay, although the hotel looks nice on the pictures it’s a little rundown in areas, our furniture in the room was scratched and worn, the sink took hours to drain away and the cleaner had missed several key areas. The bedding was clean and the bed comfy but the quality of the bedding had lapsed as it was torn at the bottom and needed replacing, decent aircon although a little noisy. The reception staff were outstanding but in the restaurant they were indifferent. Breakfast was included but was very basic fare with the exception of the fresh bread and you had to write down your egg order if you wanted an omelette for example and you waited ages for it to arrive. Overall we wouldn’t return.

This hotel is in a good location for restaurants etc.. check in was lovely with a nice welcome drink and super staff. The room was good and spacious with everything we needed but somehow I found it ‘bland’ The breakfast was decent enough but you had to pay for a decent coffee (the free coffee was really bad) Pool areas were a little ‘bare’ My main gripe was the number of monkeys that were camped up on our balcony but that’s nature I suppose Nothing special about this hotel for me sadly

Our air conditioning did not work from the day we arrived. On day two we called at 10 pm, but it was not fixed. The next morning technicians had to replace the entire system, and we were unable to use our room for around 7 hours. During this time our room door was left open and unattended. A female manager was kind and understanding and offered compensation including late check-out, free airport transfer for our entire family, two free massages, and dinner for all seven of us. As we already had dinner plans, we asked for 1,000 THB per night in compensation instead. She said she would discuss this with the owner. The next day we met another manager, Boy, who immediately offered less than what had already been agreed and accused us of lying. It was clear that the correct agreement (free transfer for the whole family and late check-out) was already printed and ready, yet he still tried to deny it and reduce the compensation. This behavior was extremely unprofessional and disappointing. Clear promises were made and then deliberately walked back.

My worst hotel experience ever. We arrived w 2 young kids and had the stay pre paid with a signed receipt. We where let know that our room was not available anymore without giving us any notice and the staff was incredible rude. Don’t book this hotel.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and had a very disappointing and unsafe experience. There was visible mold near the AC ventilation, and it filled the entire room with a terrible smell. It felt like a real health hazard. When we reported the issue, the manager showed no compassion or concern for our well-being. It was obvious they only cared about getting paid. Their solution was to move us to a room on the 3rd floor with no elevator, a much smaller AC unit, and no bathtub — clearly a downgrade. They did wipe the mold, but the smell remained very strong. This stay was far below acceptable standards, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Health Hazard: if you got respiratory problems the mold smell is unbearable

This was our second stay here. We were slightly disappointed with our room, was ground floor and next to where they had a repair room so lots of work going on during the day. The room was rather dated could do with a refresh. The pool areas were nice and clean and comfy. The breakfast was good and plentiful. Easy access to beaches and walking street.

It was a good experience. Maria was helpful. Near to the beach. Clean facilities. Nice breakfast. Staff very beautiful, especially Matina, make sure you tip her very well.

This has been one of the best holidays in a resort we've had. The staff at The Railay Princess Resort are nothing but exceptional. So friendly, kind, helpful and attentive. From the gardeners, house keepers, and waiting staff, each one made us feel welcome. We are a friendly family so it was easy for us to make friends with them all. We loved that there were 2 pools, one ground level and one rooftop. We were close to both east and west side of the beaches so location was perfect. You literally step off the longboat transfers at the pier and the hotel is there. Breakfast at the hotel was plentiful and we tried lots of thing off the menu, all great. The hotel is a little rundown in areas but that never bothered us and we would still definitely come back here again. Thank you for our wonderful stay

Amazing!!!! Beautiful place, close to the beach and the long tail, the reception helps you with reservation to get long tail to the airport
