Roula Villa Apartments were everything we were expecting after reading recent reviews.Our room was "typically Greek" self catering with just about adequate cutlery and crockery etc.You wouldn't want to try and cook a meal, but then we never even contemplate eating anything other than breakfast in our apartment.A toaster would have been nice but hardly a deal breaker! The small pool was lovely, although you might need to get up early to get a lounger.The poolside bar is open all day;normally until midnight and the prices are surpringly reasonable. Although there seemed to be quite a high turnover of guests (there seemed to be a lot of island hoppers) there was never any late night noise-it really was very peaceful. Our room was cleaned daily and all the staff were really friendly. Tip:Before we left the UK we contacted the owners to arrange for a taxi to pick us up from the airport.This worked out cheaper and more convenient than just hailing a cab when we arrived.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Very clean and close to the beach. It is nice spot to sleep and to visit the rest of the island. I highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect hotel to spend some time in Santorini. The beach is not far. There is a mini market at 100 mt and also a Bakery open 24 at 200mt.

We arrived at Roula Villa and were checked in speedily. Our room was initially disappointing, as we had booked the "Superior Room Maisonette" (Room 12) that supposedly boasted a balcony with a sea view upon booking. On arrival, this really was not the case - you could barely see the sea in the horizon and the balcony was actually shared with the room next door. Also worth noting that the balcony is not one you walk out onto - you have to climb through sort of a raised window frame to get to it. It was not a problem, necessarily, but just not what we expected. The ceilings upstairs were very low and domed (a little awkward) but the bed was comfortable and we slept like babies - despite the fact that we were just upstairs from the bar, there was only one night where this was a bit of a problem. The rest of the time Roula Villa was surprisingly quiet. Down the tiny winding metal stairs (they take some getting used to) we had two extra twin beds, a dressing table, a few chairs and an awkward sort of coffee table in the corner. To the left of all this, there was a balcony door which opened out onto a shared patio which we had our breakfast on every morning. Overall it was not outstanding but a very pleasant stay.

Beautiful place in a wonderful location. The people of the island are wonderful. Everything you have been told about the people here is true. Nothing is too much bother. Getting around the place is easy with an easy to use regular bus service which will get any person to any point for a maximum of about 5 euros. Vehicle hire is very reasonable if you prefer it. Above all though the sights available to see are not to be missed. That and how lovely the people are is why I would happily recommend it to anyone.

This is a very good place. Nice, tidy and very kindfull staff!! Very close to the beach and the shop.
