Quaint colonial hotel, friendly helpful staff, clean rooms. Within easy walking distance of main shopping area which offers wide range of eateries Also, within walking distance is the Fredericksburgh Civil War battle site, museum and visitor centre.

Liked the quaintness of it and the downstairs bourbon bar is cozy and charming. The room was a little musty and carpet could stand to be cleaned. And the landscaping was once I'm sure lovely but now needs attention. Be aware there are stairs in the property to get to your room, so getting luggage up the stairs can be a challenge. Breakfast selection was small but nicely done.

We had a wonderful stay at the Ironclad Inn! Check in was super easy and we were warmly greeted by one of the innkeepers. The location was perfect and so convenient to walk to shops and restaurants downtown. The Bourbon Room is right downstairs and a great spot to grab a drink or a bite to eat

The room smelled noticeably of cleaning product. Time for a different brand. The Bourbon Room is a welcome addition.

Historic charm and great location to visit the old downtown Fredericksburg. The highlight was the Bourbon Bar. In our 3 night stay, we decided we didn't need the room services as we didn't use the towels. We put out the "clean my room" tag the other two nights and never got the room clean and used the same towels for 3 days. The ash tray outside was loaded with cigar/cigarette buds and should be cleaned daily. Great charm but really horrible bathroom. Charm is one thing worn out is another. THe restaurant was good, not great.

Beautiful historical building with mystical ambiance. Truly a great experience!

Interaction with the staff was excellent. Dining, navigation and access to the building after hours were both easy and concise.

Quaint inn in a great town. Room had a funny smell (sort of musty or covered up with some scent?) and the bathroom was dated but functional, in keeping with this type of property. Pillows were unusually high and firm. Breakfast was sensational (awesome chef) and the people were very friendly. Unfortunately the restaurant and bourbon bar were closed the night we were there (open Wed to Sat I believe).
